I completely agree with Daze. And as for Ashley and everyone else that thinks this is so terrible, do you own a pair of tennis shoes? If so, chances are they probaly have some leather of some sort on them. I seriously doubt that all of you are running around in plastic shoes all the time. If you are, then I would hate to smell your feet. As far as the stars and their choices, do you think they never wear anything made of leather on the red carpet: belt, shoes, handbag? If you believe that, then I feel sorry for you.

I think this is totally disgusting. the bag itself is beautiful but I absolutely do not condone products made from animals . I think Hayden should be ashamed. please lets all kill the baby animals in the world so we can sport a cute clutch for one season and toss it into the back of the closet! puhleaze!

Back to the real topic, the clutch. I like it. I like the gold and blue. It’s not tacky like someone said. It’s bold, different and not robot friendly. So go find the logoed tote that you are so comfortable with and take two chill pills.

Dooney made a great choice choosing Hayden because she’s so talented and has designed great bags. I’m soooooo sick of seeing Coach everywhere. The bags are incredibly burned out already it’s not even worth mentioning. Dooney is completely underrated, which in a way makes me happy since I own them and love the fact that not everyone is carrying the same bag as me. They have seriously made their bags look so luxurious and classy lately. I always get compliments from people, and get asked what designer it’s from.
And as far as some of you saying it’s made of “cow skin”? Really? GROW UP. I’m sure all of the bags in YOUR closets are made of something totally different right?! If you’re gonna come here and start a mini protest, then make sure you have what it takes to back up your hypocritical comments! I wonder how many of you are actually vegetarians?! Please!

thank you everybody! that is what I thought as soon as I read this article. it’s very hypcritical that she sell a bag made from calf skin, but she’ll protest whaling. I guess it’s all about who pays her more. or better yet, I wonder if D&B made a “donation” on her behalf somewhere.

What I was thinking appeared to also be the thoughts of others. lol. I do think it’s rather ironic to be a huge supporter of PETA but okay with having your name back a designer handbag that uses calfskin. I’m sure someone out there is going to give her heat for this, I’m just going to point out the irony.

To everyone who commented about how hypocritical Hayden’s actions are, take your complaints to PETA. In 2007 they choose her as their recipient for the “Compassion in Action Award” for her work on saving dolphins in Japan. It is important their organization know what their recipient is doing now. The more people who contact them the better!
