Courtesy Lancome

We’ve already told you about Lancome’s revolutionary new mascara, the vibrating Oscellation. And while stars like Lindsay Lohan, Christina Ricci, Maggie Gyllenhaal and, of course, the brand’s own model Anne Hathaway have already lengthened their lashes with it, the rest of us have had to wait to try it out. Over 21,000 women have added their names to the wait list since we first reported on it — quite possibly an industry record — and your patience is finally being rewarded. The mascara launches today, and as one of the lucky few who have tried the stuff, we recommend that when you finally do get your hands on it, practice using slow, straight and steady strokes — no zig-zagging — to get the full, lash-lengthening effects. Click here to check out a video demo of the best techniques then — if you’re not one of the 21,000 who are already signed up — snag a tube for yourself.

Sarah Jessica Parker Braves the N.Y.C. Cold for Chanel

Despite the chilly New York temperature, stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Bosworth, Kim Raver, Eve, Helena Christensen and more turned out to celebrate Chanel’s Mobile Art venture with designer Karl Lagerfeld situated in Central Park. The launch of the contemporary art exhibit, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, featured a star-studded guided tour through the park directed by legendary French actress Jeanne Morreau. Although the party took place outside, SJP and Kate didn’t let bulky overcoats ruin their beautiful Chanel dresses, which pleased the designer himself. “Those girls are really strong girls — they stayed there nearly naked though it was icy cold,” Lagerfeld told PEOPLE. “They didn’t care, they smiled, they laughed. I admire them because we [men] are cowards.” For SJP, it was just another part of the job. “I’m so accustomed to wearing little bits this time of year,” she told PEOPLE. “I did it for the last ten years of my life [namely playing Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City].” And while we’re no fans of the cold, freezing in the name of Chanel seems worth it. Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Mena Suvari and More Come Out for Burberry Re-Opening

Inka/Elevation Photos

British brand Burberry is much more than signature plaid — just ask any of the fashion-forward A-listers who came out to support the re-opening and redesign of its Beverly Hills store Monday night. From Kate Hudson‘s bright yellow mini and Liv Tyler‘s rock-star blazer to Kate Beckinsale‘s ethereal chiffon dress, this was no proper tea party. Stars raved about the efforts of their hosts, Creative Director Christopher Bailey and famed photographer Mario Testino. “I love how [Bailey] mixes the traditional and the modern so well,” said actress Molly Sims, “how he’ll take a beautiful dress and add a chunky necklace, or a heel, or a patent.” Accessories were the real stars of the evening, from peep toes with thick ruched straps to statement necklaces and spike bracelets. Enthused Mena Suvari, “I love this whole kind of romantic rock chic that he does with the spikes. He really makes couture on the cutting edge.” For Testino, who’s been photographing the line’s campaigns for over a decade, Bailey has stayed true to the Burberry mentality. “Christopher has given it something very fresh, something that feels very right now, without having lost the heritage,” he told reporters. –Shruti Dhalwala

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage

What better way than to show off your new line than to wear it yourself? Nicole Richie took some pieces from her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line for a spin this weekend, giving us a peek at the line with some heavy gold and lacquered bracelets, oversized cocktail ring and even her gold headband. “I’ve always felt that great accessories are essential in every complete outfit and I wanted to create a collection that was easy to mix and match; to either wear alone as an everyday piece, or stack on to make more of a statement,” Nicole said in a press release. House of Harlow 1960, which is scheduled to hit Kitson in early December, will be a 35 piece collection ranging in price from $50 to $250 and inspired by Nicole’s sought-after style. Teaming up with celeb jeweler Pascal Mouawad, Nicole’s line uses leather, silk strings, chains, rivets, gold plated metals, peacock feathers and jewel-tone colors to explore themes like bohemian, gypsy, tribal, flower child and edgy street wear. Kate Moss Shares Her Style Secrets

Richard Young/Startraks

For the past two decades, supermodel Kate Moss‘s laid-back look has made her a muse for some of fashion’s hottest designers, style tastemakers and artists — and she’s finally revealing her style secrets in an interview with The London Times. “When it comes to dressing,” she tells the paper, “I follow my feelings and just get dressed. For me, it’s not necessarily about trends or even interpreting catwalk looks.” But for those of us who don’t have her innate sense of style, she offers a little sage advice for how to always get it right. “Never look like you’ve tried too hard — or, rather, don’t try too hard!” she emphasizes. “Mismatching can add a much more personal touch to an outfit.” And when it comes to hair, she’s equally adventurous. “Be brave and try a new hairstyle,” says the model, who recently took her own advice, chopping off her long locks into a bob. “It can completely transform your look just for one night and inspire a new way of looking at your existing wardrobe.” And as the reigning queen of vintage cool she offers a little advice on buying secondhand. “When you buy a vintage or secondhand piece, don’t take it on face value — it can be altered in so many ways. I’ve lopped the hem off many a full-length gown and made necklines lower. It does help to have a genius dressmaker, otherwise just do it yourself.” Click here to check out all of Kate’s sartorial wisdom — and learn the story behind the 21st-birthday dress, given to her by former flame Johnny Depp, that she hopes to pass down to her daughter.

Alexandra Wyman/WireImage

Catherine Malandrino celebrated the grand opening of Catherine Malandrino Maison in West Hollywood on Monday night surrounded by family and close friends — including famous fans Mary J. Blige, Rosario Dawson (whose boyfriend, Mathieu Schreyer, was DJing at the event), Perry Reeves, Dita Von Teese, Keisha Whitaker and Garcelle Beauvais Nilon, who left her one-year old twins home with a sitter to attend. “The kids are dressed, in the high chairs. I got them their food and was like, ‘bye!’” the actress laughed to PEOPLE on her way inside the event. “I’m not supposed to [shop]. I’m supposed to be good.” Inside the party, Beauvais Nilon joined Malandrino, Blige, and Von Teese in a candelit outdoor VIP area where they enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and girl talk. “She’s a lot of fun,” Blige told PEOPLE. “She’s worked so hard and made so many beautiful clothes, but Catherine is so much fun. That’s something only her friends know.” If you can’t make it into the gorgeous Los Angeles boutique, click here to shop on the Catherine Malandrino website. – Shayna Rose Arnold
