Lancome’s Vibrating Mascara’s Wait List Tops 21,000!

Courtesy Lancome

We’ve already told you about Lancome’s revolutionary new mascara, the vibrating Oscellation. And while stars like Lindsay Lohan, Christina Ricci, Maggie Gyllenhaal and, of course, the brand’s own model Anne Hathaway have already lengthened their lashes with it, the rest of us have had to wait to try it out. Over 21,000 women have added their names to the wait list since we first reported on it — quite possibly an industry record — and your patience is finally being rewarded. The mascara launches today, and as one of the lucky few who have tried the stuff, we recommend that when you finally do get your hands on it, practice using slow, straight and steady strokes — no zig-zagging — to get the full, lash-lengthening effects. Click here to check out a video demo of the best techniques then — if you’re not one of the 21,000 who are already signed up — snag a tube for yourself.

This is obscenely ridiculous. This mascara is listed as $34.00 on Lancome’s website. If 21,000 women paid $6 for a drugstore mascara that does the same thing (or just bought some false lashes instead), there would be a savings of $28.00 per person, times 21,000 = $588,000 that could feed starving families or help natural disaster victims. I’m all about beautifying but this product cannot POSSIBLY be worth $34.00 and is just a big gimmick. Don’t fall for it, ladies!

DON’T BUY IT! Lancome’s Definicils mascara works much better!!

I rushed to preorder this and it was a complete waste of money. It barely vibrates – you can hear it buzz, but it does nothing to lengthen your lashes. It has the same effect as any other drug store brand mascara.

Hands-down Definicils is a MUCH better mascara.

Thanks for tip, Ema! Not that I would buy a 34$ mascara!! That’s ridiculous! You don’t need lashes like that…how vain! Lancome should donate the proceeds to charity…It’s so sad how they’re wasting so much money when kids are starving!
And a vibrating mascara? I mean, I can’t wait to see how many lawsuits come out of people who used it and damaged their eyes by poking themselves. If you want a dramatic eye, use lots of mascara, then add eyeliner right at the root of your lashes. That opens up your eye, and it costs way less than 34$

Come-on now, I want gorgious lashes as well as the next woman, I even wore them when I was young but enough is enough! You advertise with a model that is wearing false lashes and women get the impression theirs are gona look like that for the hefty price of thirty-four dollars, hwy robbery-former hairdresser.

Absolutely ridiculous! The 21,000 women who were literally waiting for this stupid product to come out, are pathetic and need a slap in the face! I can’t believe people actually buy this! I enjoy switching mascaras from time to time, but I would NEVER even try this on myself! I’m pretty loyal to Dior’s Dior/Show and when I buy @ drugstores, I’ll buy Maybelline’s Define-a-Lash volume mascara. Dior’s is the priciest I’ll ever go for mascara, and so far these both have proven the test of time with me. Lancome will eventually get sued, what a retarded company!

For all of those saying that Lancome will get sued as a result of this vibrating mascara, what’s to prevent stupid people from poking their own eyes out with a regular mascara wand in the first place?
