Halle Berry Unveils Her Sexy Signature Scent

Daughter Nahla Ariela isn’t the only new baby in Halle Berry’s life. The Academy Award-winner dished about her soon-to-launch first fragrance, Halle by Halle Berry at an exclusive unveiling of the Coty scent in N.Y.C. “We call Halle my second baby,” she said, “because that’s really all I’ve been working on for the past two years.” Throughout the process, the actress insisted on being involved in just about every aspect creating the fragrance, from doing scent tests to helping design the bottle itself — and made sure that the woody oriental included two of her most-loved notes. “I was mixing two fragrances, a fig and a mimosa, and putting them in a bottle and carrying them around,” she says. “That was my flavor of the moment.” And it’s a flavor she hopes men will appreciate as much as women. “I want women to feel that their partners, that special person, thinks they smell beautiful, thinks that it’s simple enough that they can ingest it all day, every day. That’s what Gabriel said,” she adds, of her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s take on her signature scent. “He said it smells like that — he better be right!” Tell us: Will you try out Halle’s fragrance when it launches in March?

Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Her Style Secrets

Bryan Bedder/Getty

If you’ve ever looked at Gwyneth Paltrow, and wondered how she’s always so perfectly put together, you’re in luck. In her latest GOOP newsletter, the star muses about being a fashion-conscious mom of two — and lets readers in on her style secrets. “I used to spend a lot of time looking at fashion, reading about fashion, generally being bemused by fashion,” she says. “Then one day I had children and it all kind of went out the window. For a few years I was basically in sweatpants and I didn’t mind it.” As much as she values comfort, “It’s a fine line,” she points out, “between being comfortable and being demoralized by being frumpy all the time.” The star developed her signature chic and easy look based on the idea of having a personal style uniform. The key? Stick with basics like black leggings, a gray tank, a blazer, heeled booties, a simple skirt and jeans, and build on them. You might start your day in “black leggings, [a] gray tank, and house slippers,” she says. And when you just “throw on [a] sweater dress over the leggings and tank, add boots” and your chicest sunglasses and you’ve got an entirely different look.
