Is Rihanna The Next Big Designer?

We knew it was only a matter of time before this style-setter turned celebrity designer — after all, she’s already one of PEOPLE’s Best Dressed. While attending the Gucci Spring 2009 show in Milan, Rihanna, who has already done charity T-shirts with H&M and designed umbrellas for Totes, admitted to WWD that a clothing line is in the works, “I’m not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time. I can’t say when it will be released, but it’s definitely going to happen.” That’s good enough for us! With her girly spin on rock n’ roll style, we are sure Rihanna is gearing up to be the next Gwen Stefani. Tell us: Are you excited about Rihanna’s line?

Rihanna should definately design a line. She is always fashionably dressed and accessorized. Her look is daring and has an edge to it that hopefully she will incorporate into her new line.

I can’t wait to see what Rihanna’s line is going to look like. I’m very excited because she has such a unique and daring style. I hope she incorporates some of her cool personal style into her line. And I really hope she includes shoes!

Rihanna is a cute girl. She also dresses quite well. Is she dressing herself or does she have a stylist? Does Rihanna sketch designs? Having a famous name doesn’t qualify one to become a designer.

I like Rihanna as an artist. I don’t like her style at all. I think she simply tries too hard to look different, there’s people that make dressing stylish look effortless, and those are the people that maybe deserve a chance to design something if they wish. She wants to do sooo much with just one outfit all the time it looks rididculous! Sometimes keeping certain things simple can go a long way and real beauty does not need so much junk all over the place.
