I am from Brazil just like Gisele and she does help poor people in Brazil. There are lots of richer people in America, do they help enough?
Celebrities throw millions of dollars in luxury vacation, parties not to even mention clothes, they should be helping more in their own country.

Well said Bob!!! I get so tired of hearing people complain about how much money celebrities have and how they don’t think the celebrities give enough of it away. It’s their money and they can spend it as they see fit. No stranger tries to tell those complaining how they should spend their paychecks. If it bothers folks that celebrities make so much money maybe they should stop supporting them. Don’t pay to see their movies, or buy their records, or buy the clothes they are paid to model or whatever. We’re the ones enabling them to earn all that money.

If you don’t want the rich to get richer don’t buy CD’s or magazines, or anything to do with the entertainment industry then.. It’s not their fault that they earn that money, and I am sure many do give to charity’s more then we know.. I agree we are to greedy, and give our kids everything that want. I just told my 8 year old that I don’t hear the word NO very much people over extending themselves with credit and you got to pay it back.. The young kids today, are going to be staying with mommy and daddy a lot longer because many don’t know how or want to work.. I have a 17 year old that will be needing to get a job by next January, to start saving for an apartment and if he won’t do it guess what he get a one way ticket to live with his mommy who has given this kid anything and everything he wants even though his dad and I say no.. Why don’t you who think the rich should give, why don’t you!!!

I don’t think the problem is that she has these expensive items and is selling them or whether she is giving the money to charity. The problem as I see it, is that these “celebrities” – models, actors, athletes [not to mention CEO's, University Presidents, etc.] – are being paid thousands and millions of dollars and for what exactly? They are being paid more money for one short-term contract than most average Americans will make in a life time. Why are these people being paid millions of dollars when the average American teacher is only earning about $45,000 a year?

Hey Everyone… get over yourself! It is HER stuff that she’s selling…. you sell your things at garage sales don’t you? Granted… her things are very expensive…. luxury items. But they are hers to do with what she wants. It’s interesting that so many of you are bothered by the fact that she is selling her expensive items but don’t seem to understand that she HAS these items in the first place. It’s not like they’re not worth the same thing… just because they’re not liquid cash. Just shut up and don’t be so jealous… it’s so EASY to say what you would do if it were you (like giving all the money to charity!) when her situation is so far removed from yours… it’s impossible for you to know how you would handle it if you were in her position.

Some of the people suffering from hard times DID NOT bring it on themselves my sister-in-law didn’t expect to loose my brother after 35 years of marriage and only 55 years old! when they bought their house they had 2 steady paychecks coming in and a friend of mine his wife fell ill and he got 2 payments behind on his house and then mailed in a payment and was going to mail the other 1 a few weeks later along with the 3rd one that was going to be due and they mailed his payment back to him so don’t feed me that LINE OF CRAP THAT that it is people’s own damn fault they are loosing their homes!!!!!!!!!

BOB – I totally agree with your comments. A little pain to the truly greedy will hopefully teach a lesson. I am so ashamed of what our great country has done to itself. I love my country but am very upset with our current government administration and the greed that most Americans have acquired as a normal way of life. Our politicians, in general, are very greedy and unethical.

I agree with Bob. He is a smart man! Why should a model from Brazil no less, be bashed for selling a diamond that she does not have to and why is it anyone else’s business what she does with the money? It is probably going to go to a cause that she holds dear to her heart. It’s her money, let her decide.
