Mischa Barton is All About the Accessories

PA Photos /Landov

Mischa Barton is all about the accessories right now, whether it’s those strutting down the catwalk at the Temperley London spring/summer show or her own ever expanding accessory line. At her friend Alice Temperley’s catwalk show in London on Monday, the actress revealed what prompted her to add to her eponymous line of handbags with a hair accessory line: “I’m in between films right now. When I have free time, I have to do something creative,” she told PEOPLE. “So I’ve been designing a headband line with Stacey Lapidus — it’s really fun.” Temperley who showed a collection of feminine draped dresses mixed with edgier studded waistcoats, belts and towering heels certainly has a fan in Barton who gushed about, of course… the “amazing” accessories. “I love the way she puts things together. And if there was one look to covet? “I’m all into the studded belts and the shoes and vests.”

Miley Cyrus might just be the world’s busiest 15-year-old. In addition to her platinum music career and starring roles in movies and TV, she’s just become a clothing designer — and it’s all in the name of a good cause. The Hannah Montana star has lent her artistic touch to a create her very own “Spread the Love” T-shirt by L.A.-based line 2 LOVE, with a portion of proceeds from the $50 shirt going to Miley’s charity of choice: 1736 Family Crisis Center. And she’s not alone. Everyone from Mischa Barton to Vanessa Hudgens is putting their design talents to the test to “Spread the Love” for their favorite charities. U.S. Fund for UNICEF ambassador Alyssa Milano is thrilled that her “Spread the Love” design makes it easy to support those in need. “I love the idea behind 2 LOVE clothing,” she says. “It is fun to mix fashion and charity. The cute tank makes a statement, and helps UNICEF increase public awareness of the challenges facing the world’s children and create positive change around the globe.” Jessica Alba, whose “Spread the Love” shirt benefits StepUp Women’s Network, couldn’t agree more, saying, “I had a blast being creative and designing this tee shirt, and I know whenever I see these tees on women, I’ll be reminded to ‘Spread the Love!’” You can help spread the love by clicking over 2lovecollection.com and snapping up one of the tees for yourself. –Nicholas White
