Victoria Beckham’s Appointment-Only N.Y.C. Fashion Week

The internet has been buzzing for months about the possibility of Victoria Beckham showing at Fashion Week, and now that it is finally here, we can confirm that Posh is in fact launching her dress collection this week. The designer is skipping the runway for a more intimate experience for the fashion elite. The 10 look collection of signature day and evening dresses will be showed by appointment only to top retailers and high-end fashion magazine editors. “This is a very personal collection for me,” says Victoria in a released statement. “I’ve always been drawn to intricate, seam-detailed designs as their structure enhances the flattering shape of a woman’s silhouette.  My signature dress collection is timeless, a modern interpretation of my inspirations.” Posh’s dresses are definitely a reflection of her own style. Created from fabrics like fine gazar and georgette silks, basket-weave cotton, taffeta and organza inlay complete with embroidery from India and hand-sewn beadwork, Victoria’s latest design fortay is the essence of sophistication and femininity. Dresses will range in retail price from approximately $1,400 – $3,500 and be sold in specialty shops and upscale department stores. Even though we won’t get to see the much-anticipated collection go down the runway, just knowing Victoria will be here at Fashion Week is exciting — maybe we’ll run into her at Christian Siriano’s runway debut at the tents? Ugh, I am just so sick to death this woman. She is so incredibly pretentious it’s not even funny. I don’t really see her appeal, either: ridiculous fake tan, anorexic body, fake boobs…just wow. Although I must agree that she dresses rather well (usually). I guess she should stick to fashion. It seems to be the only thing she’s legitimately good at.

Justme

She’s a sharp dresser but I had to jump in here and say to the two posters who called her pretty…wow! have you guys ever seen a “pretty” woman?
She’s skinny, dresses sharp because she can afford to and she’s rich. But pretty she is not.
Most certainly not!

Jonathan

It’ll be great to see Posh’s dresses, and it’s awesome that she’s doing this!

Samantha

Doesn’t matter how great her designs are, who’s gonna pay that much for a dress made from someone who isn’t even a real designer?

Jan

No, I’m not excited to see her collection. She’s obviously an elitist snob, so forget about it.

Hobbes

Her dress line will fail – just like her jeans line and menswear range. Nobody likes her as she is so overprocessed and fake, and always looks so snooty and miserable all the time. She reeks of desperation for fame and respect, but in reality has no natural beauty or genuine talent (for fashion or singing)- just her husbands money behind her. She is more interested in posing for the cameras and there is nothing natural or warm about this woman. Leave the fashion design to the real designers as no one cares about “posh”.

Jennifer

Maybe she’ll sell all 10 – if she wants to mass sell them she’ll be in trouble!
Although I doubt she is trying to reach ‘normal class’ people anyway if she is only selling them in high end retailers. These aren’t going to be in Kohls you know!

fluffyang

ya she’s hot..but seriously she looks plastic. Check out those hollow fillings around her eyes-damn, she needs to book another of her routine botox appointments…starting to look more like her sister.

Who other then celeberites can afford that much for a dress. Nock down the prices BIG Time and make more money. The average American would indors her style more then any of the high end American’s come one girl get with the program didn’t you learn after your jeans.
