Nastia Liukin Strikes Gold At Fashion Week

Back from the Beijing Olympics and fresh off her impressive five medal wins — including a coveted gold — Nastia Liukin is getting poised to make her mark on the fashion world. The teen gymnast is already set to launch Nastia Liukin Gold Jeans line with Vanilla Star Jeans before the holidays, star in fall Cover Girl ads, and appear on Gossip Girl. And now the 18-year-old gymnast has snagged much coveted front row seats at New York’s Fashion Week. “Maria Sharapova invited me,” Nastia tells WWD. “I’m going to Peter Som, Isaac Mizrahi and Cole Haan.” While the budding designer plans her foray into the fashion world, it seems she will taking notes from the front row this week. I love Nastia!! but i think i do agree with lowemamma, she is a great rolemodel, but for a teen girl look, i dont think she has the glamour! but she is a very cute girl.

I think when the writer says, “A coveted gold” what they really mean is “THE” coveted gold of the All Around Olympic Champion!
