Pete Wentz Dishes on His Passion for Fashion

All Access Photo Agency/Retna

Pete Wentz is one busy man these days — between becoming a dad with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, working with his band Fall Out boy and his Clandestine clothing line, the rocker is not having a slow summer. But he took time out from DJing MTV and Sunkist’s end of summer bash on the rooftop of the London Hotel in West Hollywood to talk to PEOPLE about his passion for fashion. While he’s not positive he’s going to make it to New York fashion week, he’s thinking about Paris and their avant-garde set. “I’m always excited, there’s like certain designers that I always want to see. I think I might try and go in Paris, in the fall, actually, and see the stuff out there, but I don’t know if I’m going to make it. My top, top one that I’d like to see go down the runway is Victor & Rolf because it’s just so bananas, like the time the models went down and each was a mini fashion show, they all had speakers and lights on them, or the one where they were green screened. And then I really like Dior, because I feel like I can really wear a lot of their stuff.” And of course, Pete continues to support his hometown fashion scene in Chicago. “It’s called Fashion Focus this fall and we’re going to be involved in that. We’re pretty excited about that because sometimes it’s nice to bring a little attention to in between the coasts, and I’m proud to be a mid-west kid.” Looks like there is no slowing down for this multi-tasker!

Rachel Zoe’s Surprisingly Affordable Design Plans

Juan Rico/Fame

A new Bravo show, The Rachel Zoe Project, is not the only thing Rachel Zoe has up her stylish sleeve. Between styling stars like Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz, Joy Bryant, Debra Messing and more, the stylist extraordinaire is planning her own handbag line. With two collections for Judith Leiber under her belt, Rachel is ready to give it a go on her own. Her vision for her line is to create something that encompasses her own personal style. “Anything I do will always have vintage inspiration,” Rachel tells PEOPLE. “It’s the music I love, the clothes I love, the accessories I love and the icons I love from that time period ['60s and '70s].” Currently, Rachel’s designs for Judith Leiber sell upwards of $800, but with her own line, that won’t be the case. “My number one goal is to bring a fantasy element to reality and make things affordable for people within any budget,” says Rachel, who counts London’s Topshop and H&M among her favorite places to shop. We can’t wait to get our hands on some of her deisgns. Products are expected in 2009, but no dates have been finalized. Tell us: Would you buy a bag by Rachel Zoe?

Arnold Turner/Wireimage

The latest star to turn designer is Janet Jackson. The singer has teamed with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi, who just recently helped design Dr. Rey’s new Shapewear line, to create an intimates collection. Pleasure Principle, named after Janet’s hit song in 1987, includes a variety of bra styles and sizes ranging from 32A to 44G. And the line is affordable — everything is priced under $40! Pleasure Principle won’t be your grandma’s underwear, the collection features Chantilly lace, satin and feminine details such as bows in rich colors like burgundy, silver, peach and of course classic black and white. “There’s something for every woman, and that’s very important to us,” Janet said in a press conference to USA Today. “I’ve always hated when lingerie is uncomfortable, so the fit and comfort was key.” Janet’s line will hit mass retailers in the USA in November and then will arrive in Australia, Japan and Europe. Pleasure Principle can be pre-ordered at jupicorp.com. Check out PEOPLE magazine for an exclusive first look, and catch Janet on her tour starting next month.
