Beyonce’s New Design Venture: Jewelry

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen aren’t the star designers to try their hand at a jewelry line these days. Beyonce and mom Tina Knowles are adding a jewelry line to their already-successful brand House of Dereon. The mother-daughter design team have partnered with jewelry company Carolee, who also produces jewelry for Lauren by Ralph Lauren, ABS by Allen Schwartz and Brooks Brothers, to create a complete collection of jewels consisting of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings. All the pieces will incorporate various metals, man-made pearls, crystals and more. “I am so passionate about jewelry. As both a designer and a stylist, I know the important role jewelry plays in completing your total look, ” Tina Knowles said in a released statement. What’s better, the line will be completely affordable, with prices ranging from $16- $68. I love Beyonce but sometimes she goes hard on the over accessorizing. I have to see it first. Judging from that snakey thing above, I don’t know. Maybe.

why not, every celed is, will it make a difference, who knows? the sad thing is that beyonce does have style, but know celeb designers’ inage has just been cheapened

I’m sure it will be as tacky as all her other designs. House of Dereon is “already-successful?” People.com, who do you think you are kidding? I only see their stuff on clearance racks heavily discounted or discontinued. Tina Knowles and Beyonce need to accept that it is done and they should cut their losses.

The few people I have seen wearing HOD clothes – I wouldn’t even want to be in the same room with them. Beyonce wears HOD only to make a promotional appearance and then it is off as quickly as she put it on. If even she won’t wear it, why should I? It’s ugly and tacky. I can’t even remember the last time I saw Beyonce in a HOD creation. Yeah, that is why their HOD website hardly has anything new added. That is the sign of a hugely successful label. Clearly, when they realized that people wouldn’t buy into the overpriced stuff, they relabelled all the upcoming stuff under their “junior line” Dereon. No Maam!

Irene are you upset that they don’t sell HOD in your size? You sound bitter like they “personally” done something to you. If you dont like the clothes, come up with your own clothing line!
