I can only hope that People plans on showing this much attention to the McCain’s when it is the Republican Convention. I have given serious thought to cancelling my subscription. The Obama’s are everywhere I look whether it be on People.com or in the magazine I receive at home.

I think the first few comments about not caring what Mrs. Obama is wearing were made because it really doesn’t matter what she wears. She is an intelligent, good looking woman who has proven herself. Unfortunately, the show around the convention has become important in politics and showing that she supports her husband and that he has good family values is very important these days. We can’t forget we are reading articles on PEOPLE online and not Wall Street Journal or New York Times. Fashion is a topic no matter who it is. You’re right – there are no articles about McCain. I think Craig Ferguson had a good line o the View a couple months ago when he asked Mrs. McCain to get her husband involved in some scandal since the only thing nighttime talk show hosts had to talk about was McCain’s age. I personally am not an Obama supporter, but I don’t think Obama supporters have the right to claim that all McCain supporters HATE Obama. There’s a lot of hate out there in Hollywood aimed at the republicans. Wherever you look, Bush and McCain are being bashed.

Obviously you are not aware that Princeton and Harvard are private institutions with huge endowments (look up the word if you do not know what it means) and thus, provide scholarships based on academic excellence to students who cannot afford to attend these schools. The U.S. government also provides loans to all students who are trying to go to college. These loans are paid back with interest. So your pathetic miniscule tax dollars had nothing to do with her education and if they did, she paid back the entire amount plus interest. Affirmative action. Let’s see what about the Legacy system that put George Bush Jr. through Yale and Harvard because daddy went there even though, with his grades, he would not have even dreamed of getting into a community college. I respect intelligence which you clearly lack. Stop disguising your racism and accept that you simply do not like the Obamas because they are black. Hiding behind daft statements makes you look like a complete idiot. It’s a free country. You are allowed to be racist and ignorant. Are you a welfare baby mama since you seem to know how they dress?

Wal-mart has nicer clothes than she wears! Her sense of style is 1940’s Sears farm catalog–UGH! Comparing her style and taste in clothes to Jackie Kennedy’s is like comparing a plow mule to Secretariat–the only word to describe her clothes and figure are “dumpy”. Her hairstyle is a Doris Day cloned style and she thinks polyester is a quality textile (hint: No, it isn’t). A polyester blouse, Timex watch, plastic pearls and pleather loafers are only high style in Liberty City, Harlem or the South side of Chicago–where her husband got to be part of the political machine due to his association with Reverend Al, Jesse Jackson and of course Reverend Wright. Affirmative action and not having children got her a free education courtesy of the US taxpayers. her husband keeps the Medicaid dollars flowing to the welfare hospital that pays her $300K a year (which is $263K more than the job pays to people who AREN’T married to US Senators) and she STILL dresses like a South side welfare baby mama!

She’ll look great. I appreciate her simple taste, and the fact that one of her outfits doesn’t have to cost $5,000 to look great. Girls need role models; why not her? I think anyone, man or woman, who makes goals and accomplishes them is someone to admire, regardless of how grand or simple those goals may be.
