Katie Holmes’s Surprise Dress Designer: Herself!

After turning heads with her new casual chic in New York, Katie Holmes returned to her usually glamorous self at the Tropic Thunder red carpet in Los Angeles. But no one could figure out who designed Katie’s fabulous navy dress — was it Lanvin? McQueen? It turns out the designer of the dress was none other than the star herself and her stylist Jeanne Yang! Though this original Holmes Yang design has gotten rave reviews, Holmes’s rep tells PEOPLE that there is no line in the works. Too bad — we’d snap up one up for ourselves!

Now that I look at it, it is awful and looks like she sewed it at home. I wonder if she made the hideous shoes also. She should stick to her day job whatever that is.

YUCK – she shouldn’t be designing as she has no talent there. The top looks like she used a black garbage bag and the skirt appears to be too tight

Are you kidding me? That dress looks like a garbage bag met bad couch fabric. Fabric is bad, color is bad, length is bad, even the shoes are iffy. It doesn’t flatter her body at all.
