Lauren Conrad To Design Gown for Emmy Awards

With an already successful casual clothing line of flirty dresses, soft camis and playful skirts, Lauren Conrad is getting ready enter the world of eveningwear. The Hills resident designer is set to create a one of a kind red carpet gown for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards trophy girls, marking it the first time in Emmy history that a celebrity designer was asked to create a gown for the women who will hand out the Emmy statuettes. “I am so excited that the Academy has asked me to design a dress for this year’s Emmy Awards,” says Lauren. “I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist.” The Emmy dress is being made especially for the awards and, sadly for the rest of us, will not be part of her Lauren Conrad Collection. its great that there trusting her but its like seriously i think you need to be a bit more experienced college is great but they want more then babydoll dresses and gladiator sandles! it has to be elegant which doesnt seem to be her thing i hope she isnt a dissapointment i want to see what she can do!

I think that this is a great thing for Lauren. I think she is using her Hills success in a positive way, unlike Heidi and Spencer. Way to go Lauren!

Many people say that she is very selfish and stuff ,but a guy who recently had an interview with her said she was really down to earth. And yeah maybe she is very hard on her friends but all of them wasn’t famous before she put them in The Hills so maybe we don’t see what’s behind the cameras.
