Duffy’s New Gig: Nivea’s Featured Artist

Courtesy Nivea

It may be her smoky voice that earned her fame, but “Mercy” singer Duffy is poised to show off a whole new side of herself in an ad campaign for Nivea. And while the images of the Welsh beauty won’t appear until later this month in the special Fashion Rocks supplement, we’ve snagged you a preview. If you’re craving more than just face time with the singer, tune in to the Fifth Annual Fashion Rocks concert from N.Y.C.’s Radio City Music Hall September 9th on CBS. Tell us: What do you think of Duffy in the Nivea ads?

Alexis

I think she’s an amazing singer, and she looks really pretty in the nivea ads! I can’t wait to see her performing on Fashion Rocks!

j

voice amazing but listen to dusty springfield or annie lennox before you decide Beauty ……see liz Taylor or Vivien Leigh or Monroe or hepburn grumpybloggers.com

lydia

this girl is sweet and nice but she is a complete AMY WINEHOUSE ripoff. I think she’s easy to control, she’s blond, she’s not a crackhead and therefore a much “safer” alternative to Amy but Amy is still 110 percent better!!

Ava

as much as i love amy winehouse’s voice i highly doubt she could pull off this pretty nivea ad like fellow brit duffy

[...] in Fashion Rocks. It’s Duffy! Her eyelashes look amazing. Nivea’s for skin, right? Oh, whatever. [Off the Rack/People]&#8226 Mariah talked about her “walnut-sized” tattoo of Nick Cannon’s name on Jimmy Kimmel last [...]

Dorothy

Nivea couldn’t have picked someone better. She looks perfect for those adds!

lydia

true ava, amy would not be considered for these ads!
but duffy is an amy copycat as far as her music

meena

The ad has a very seventies feel – the hair is very Breck girl blonde, the lashes very Charlie’s Angels… I still won’t buy Nivea.

L

The ad looks horrible…she looks dazed in it. As far as her voice, I think she is very annoying.

Lisa

She looks more like Goldie Hawn’s daughter than Kate Hudson.
