Following in the foot steps of past stars like Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Renee Zellweger and Glenn Close, Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the Entertainment Industry Foundation‘s (EIF) ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue‘s 2008 KEY TO THE CURE campaign, a women’s cancer initiative founded in partnership with EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. The limited edition T-Shirt modeled by Gwyneth was created by legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld and features a cross bow and arrow on the front and a sketch of Karl himself on the back. Gwyneth will appear in all KEY TO THE CURE ads and a public service announcement wearing the T-shirt. Karl’s limited edition work will hit Saks Fifth Avenue stores and their website on October 1 and retail for $40 with over $35 to exclusively benefit KEY TO THE CURE. In the ten years since Key to the Cure’s inception, Saks and its partners have raised more than $28 million. Tell us: What do you think of the new KEY TO THE CURE T-shirt? Would you buy one?

I am currently battling breast cancer, and although the front of this shirt is nice, the back is uncalled for, I do not like it.
Besides, the emblems on the front, I don’t understand the reasoning, they don’t represent fighting cancer to my knowledge. So I doubt that I or any of my friends nor family would want one let alone buy one.

I think any money raised for breast cancer is what is important!

I will gladly buy the shirt in support for: those whose have the disease, are fighting this disease, for the families supporting those with the disease and for those individuals who lost their lives to this disease!

I’d consider buying the shirt if it didn’t have Karl Lagerfeld on the back – why did he have to put his mug on it? I’d rather just donate the money to the American Cancer Society.

I love this t-shirt! So many of us are touched by cancer, who wouldn’t want a t-shirt designed by Karl Lagerfeld for a good cause!

I figured it out the X means 10 years! I love that Karl designed the tee for such a good cause. My aunt battled cancer and I am totally buying this shirt for her!

I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these t-shirts! My best friends mom has cancer and every year, for the past three years, we can’t waiting to see what new t-shirt Saks comes up with (and to see who designs it.) Karl is amazing, such a Fashion Icon, and Gwenyth being their ambassador just tops it off.

A huge congrats to Saks for another awesome t-shirt!

Congrats to Saks Fifth Avenue! 10 years and $28 million dollars is amazing! I hope this year’s tee is a huge success, everyone should buy at least one!
