Angelina: St. John Model No More

She may be about to add twins to the ever-growing Brangelina brood, but it looks like Angelina Jolie is about to lighten the load in at least one area of her life. WWD reports that the actress will be ending her three-year position as the face of St. John knitwear, for which she starred in a series of iconic black and white photographs by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino. According to the paper, Jolie will be replaced by four up-and-coming fashion models in color print ads shot around New York City by Mark Seliger. “It was a great run we had,” says St. John’s chief executive officer Glenn McMahon of the decision. “Three years is a long time to maintain any campaign, and we felt it was time to do something new and different.” Tell us: What do you think about St. John choice to replace Angelina?

I think it makes sense. Angelina is fab, but it HAS been 3 years!

If Angelina is all right and for it, who cares? She’s got her kids to focus on, not modeling. I’m sure whatever St John comes up with next will be as awesome as the run Angelina had.

I would love that picture if her expression wasn’t so dead. She looks like a fish out of water from the neck up.

Personally, this doesn’t feel like an ad, but more like one part of a photo sequence in a magazine spread. Let’s see something new.

I admire Angelina, and I also love the St. John line of clothing. I think Angelina’s long run with the line was very postitive for both as well as I think the new models will also be fabulous for the line. I do not think the decision in negative to either in any way.

It doesn’t matter because it seems like she has a lot going on anyway. She seems happy and besides, with a growing family such as hers – she may be relieved to be released from one of her many commitments.

I don’t think St. John choice replace Angelina because the last dress she wore for them was the black dress at “A Might Heart “premiere at Cannes film festival last year. May be Angie didn’t happy with their style. GOOD FOR ANGIE!!!
