Angelina: St. John Model No More

Courtesy St. John

She may be about to add twins to the ever-growing Brangelina brood, but it looks like Angelina Jolie is about to lighten the load in at least one area of her life. WWD reports that the actress will be ending her three-year position as the face of St. John knitwear, for which she starred in a series of iconic black and white photographs by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino. According to the paper, Jolie will be replaced by four up-and-coming fashion models in color print ads shot around New York City by Mark Seliger. “It was a great run we had,” says St. John’s chief executive officer Glenn McMahon of the decision. “Three years is a long time to maintain any campaign, and we felt it was time to do something new and different.” Tell us: What do you think about St. John choice to replace Angelina?

A few months back we revealed Anne Hathaway’s newest role as ambassador for Lancome. And on Tuesday night, the actress lit up the glass-domed Grand Palais in Paris in an elegant Kaufman Franco gown to unveil the brand’s newest fragrance creation, the woodsy floral Magnifique, which will hit stores in August. We think the Bride Wars actress perfectly embodies refined elegance needed to represent a fragrance, but we want to know what you think. Tell us: What do you think of Lancôme’s selection of Anne to represent the brand?

Minka, Jamie Lynn and More Celebrate Alice + Olivia in L.A.

Despite the overcast weather in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, hosts Jamie Lynn Sigler, Minka Kelly, and Nicky Hilton donned summery, white dresses by alice + olivia for a cocktail party previewing the line’s 2009 holiday collection. Sigler, in a floor-length halter frock, told PEOPLE, “I have pieces from the line from years ago that I can still wear today. Her stuff has always fit me.” Adds fellow long-term supporter Hilton, in a short Grecian-style dress, “I’m just a big fan of her line.” Even though her hosts choose white, designer Stacey Bendet insists there is plenty of color, too. “Most of my [store] interiors are black and white, but our collections are actually known for being bright and colorful and really kind of fun,” she says, pointing to the teal dresses on the main floor of her house. The four-months pregnant designer picked a vibrant tie-dyed dress to hide her burgeoning belly, but shoots down the idea of a maternity line. “You know it’s such a short period. I’d rather make clothes that can be worn maternity rather than make maternity.” For now, Bendet, who already has a store on trendy Robertson Boulevard, will focus on opening stores in Beverly Hills and Malibu along with expanding her collection for little girls, which guests checked out on their way to the pool. A fedora-wearing Samantha Ronson spun tunes for the fashionistas, including a vintage-clad Devon Aoki, who sipped champagne and munched on snacks like grilled cheese, sweet potato fries, and Sigler’s fave, mac ‘n’ cheese. — Jenny Sundel
