We’re always thrilled to see our favorite celebs bend the rules on the red carpet — like leaving the predictable gown at home for something all together edgier. One of our favorite risktakers, Charlize Theron, recently surprised us by wearing a sleek corset and pants combo to the MTV Movie Awards. This Proenza Schouler look channels an of-the-moment superhero vibe, but Charlize keeps it ladylike with an impeccable fit that exposes just the right amount of skin. And her minimal jewelry and tailored pants keep the focus on the ultra-modern corset top — without getting costume-y on us. Tell us: Would you wear a corset top like Charlize?

i wouldnt wear it myself, but i think it looks amazing on charlize.. she has the body and the face to pull it off! love her!

Def not! I think the combination of color and stripes is very unappealing and makes her look less shapely around the midsection. Take out the huge center stripe, and switch the colors so that black is the base color and I might wear it. Not to mention she needs either huge earrings or a necklace to offset the fact that it makes her look like she is hanging her shoulders!

No it makes her chest look sagging. I noticed some of these strapless outfits hang low and make the person wearing them that they sag.

YES! It’s classic, sexy, and sultry. To me, Ms.Theron never does wrong. If People could be a doll, can you post some places to purchase tops like Charlize’s?
