Hockey Star Sean Avery Turns Celeb Stylist

David X Prutting/PatrickMcMullan

Step aside Rachel Zoe, there’s a new star stylist in town! Fashion Week Daily is reporting on the latest buzz that hockey-star-turned-Vogue-intern Sean Avery is branching out even further into the fashion world in partnership with his best friend — and Calvin Klein’s former director of celebrity services — Lauryn Flynn. According to the blog, the fashionable pair are going into the celeb stylist business. And Avery, for his part, sees a definite need to bring Hollywood his sartorial services, saying, “We want to get it back to the point where girls don’t worry about what US Weekly says. It’s about expressing individual style and just wearing what’s cool. I’m totally consumed by fashion. We want to help them bring their individuality back.” Tell us: Would you want the New York Ranger to be your personal stylist?

No Way! I have met Avery and he is very much a man’s man! I am a huge fan!! Good luck to you Sean!

I would love to have the New York Ranger to be your personal stylist. I won’t mind having a guy’s opinion when it comes to style.

Avery is a total cry baby. He should be a stylist…he’s too much of a 2 year old for hockey. I give him 2 MONTHS to come out…

This is ridiculous. Is he not a hockey player anymore? And what, pray tell, qualifies him to speak as a fashion expert? Two months ‘interning’ at Vogue? Please.

Love this!

Who cares what the guy does in his off-time? I hope the Rangers sign him to a reasonable 2-3 deal.

You people need to get lives, wow. (yes, I recognize I am on this site also but at least I was directed from a hockey site)

All of this is ridiculous.

Hopefully he will get this phase of his life out of the way and then he can concentrate on Hockey. Thank goodness he banged Elisha, that way all of these “closet” comments can go to hell.

The Rangers need to sign this young man immediately. Send him some Steve Mcqueen movies and a case of Pabst. That will straighten him out.

Just because he is into fashion, does not automatically make him gay, seriously.
