Online Shopping Alert: Get Glam in Vintage Dior

Courtesy yoox.com

One way to make sure you’ll never see yourself coming and going like Sarah Jessica Parker did with her Sex and the City premiere-dress debacle, is to follow the lead of stars like Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman — and even Parker herself on luckier days — and go with vintage couture. But if you’re not one of Hollywood’s elite, getting your hands on high-end vintage can be next to impossible. Or at least it used to be. Yoox.com is now selling off an extensive collection of designs by fashion icon Christian Dior that spans decades, from the design house’s launch in the 1940s through the ’80s and beyond. The Long Live Christian Dior project includes everything from museum quality pieces to chic finds to wear around town, all curated by former New York Times style editor Holly Brubach. Click here to learn more about the project and get a little star style for yourself.

I am in LOVE with that dress, but, when I went to find it online, I could not. It is fabulous though!! I wish I could spend thousands of dollars on Dior dresses… although, I don’t know how well that would go over with the husband…

Jan

I would choose to wear that dress for eternity.

Steph

some gorgeous pieces, and some of them relatively affordable. Not on my budget of course, but considering they are Dior pieces, not bad. Very cool.
