Yves Saint Laurent had many beautiful and famous clients in his time, and until his retirement in 2002, he was still a hit with Hollywood. Nicole Kidman began as a client of Laurent’s himself — wearing a YSL gown to the 2002 Golden Globes — and continued her allegiance to the house with first Tom Ford and now Stefano Pilati at the helm. Nicole tells PEOPLE of the deceased designer, ” He was a master at designing for the female form and he defined an era. His work was meticulous and exquisite. Britney Spears already has her famous family of fragrances, and Christina Aguilera will launch her first American scent soon — and now it looks like pop’s edgier princess is getting in on the fragrance game too. Avril Lavigne has just confirmed to WWD that she’s inked a deal with Proctor & Gamble Prestige Products to create a perfume line directed at her teen fans. “Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone,” she tells the paper. And while there’s no official launch date yet, the fragrance is expected to hit stores sometime during the second half of 2009. Tell us: Will you wear Avril’s scent?

This British pop star is no stranger to changing her hair. Just a few months ago she dyed her dark locks to a striking blonde, and now she is at it again. Lily Allen arrived at Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards in London last night showing off a head of bright pink hair complete with a sweet bow headband. On close inspection, it doesn’t seem to be a wig — it looks pink to the roots! Pink highlights might have been fun with her punky style, but the whole head? She’s already a spokesmodel for Cover Girl cosmetics, has her own line of clothing for curvaceous women, and a fitness deal with Jenny Craig — and now, Queen Latifah has just announced, she’ll be latest celeb to create a signature fragrance. The actress has just announced that she will launch a scent in the U.S. in the fall of 2009 and then take it international. “I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love — scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality, it’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength,” she tells WWD.
