Would Carrie Approve? Sarah Jessica Parker’s Over-the-Top London Premiere Look

The Sex and the City movie is the cinematic fashion event of the summer — a rumored 81 costume changes for Sarah Jessica Parker alone! And from the looks of the world premiere in London today, the fashions are going to be just as over-the-top on the red carpet as on the big screen. Parker arrived in a full-skirted Alexander McQueen confection and Fred Leighton diamonds with an amazing Phillip Treacy hat, complete with green roses and yellow butterflies. Only SJP — and her celluloid alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw — could even contemplate pulling off a look that involves winged insects and feather trim. We’re more thrilled than ever to see the movie! I love it! Totally off the wall and campy, but oh, so perfect for Carrie! And, let’s face it, that’s what we want SJP to look like at the premieres….Carrie! The hat is FAB! In real life, maybe not so much, but absolutely genious for the SATC opening.

I love Sarah Jessica Parker…she has an awesome fashion sense…and i love this dress but she neeeds to lose that awful awful hat!! It just ruins the whole look…she should know beter!!

I don’t care what anyone says, Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw can do no wrong. Of course in a small town you can’t dress like that but this is the premier for Sex in the City, you have to go overboard. She looks great and she can pull it off no matter what because she’s a New Yorker!!!
