Would Carrie Approve? Sarah Jessica Parker’s Over-the-Top London Premiere Look

The Sex and the City movie is the cinematic fashion event of the summer — a rumored 81 costume changes for Sarah Jessica Parker alone! And from the looks of the world premiere in London today, the fashions are going to be just as over-the-top on the red carpet as on the big screen. Parker arrived in a full-skirted Alexander McQueen confection and Fred Leighton diamonds with an amazing Phillip Treacy hat, complete with green roses and yellow butterflies. Only SJP — and her celluloid alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw — could even contemplate pulling off a look that involves winged insects and feather trim. We’re more thrilled than ever to see the movie! I saw this picture on another website….am I the only one that thinks that picture looks totally Photoshopped?? The lighting of the hat looks completely different from everything else in the picture!

We get that Carrie Bradshaw is bold, but she doesn’t exist in real life. This is just ridiculous. I hope SJP doesn’t plan on looking like an idiot on all red carpet events.

Carrie wore crazier outfits than that on the show. Maybe I’m jaded, but I think Sarah Jessica Parker could get away with just about anything after playing someone with such an awesome/crazy fashion sense for so long. I think she looks fab!
