Get a Sneak Peek at Jenna Bush’s Bridal Party Style

Courtesy Lela Rose; Diane Bondareff/AP

Jenna Bush’s May 10th wedding date may be fast approaching, but there’s one detail she no longer needs to worry about: her bridesmaids’ dresses. The First Daughter looked to designer — and fellow Texan — Lela Rose to create the custom styles for her nuptials, USA Today reports. And from the look of the designer’s sketches, Jenna’s 14 attendants will walk the aisle in style, dressed in muted hues inspired by native Texas wildflowers. The above-the-knee gowns come in a variety of cuts, including boat neck, spaghetti-strap, and halter. “With a group that big,” explains the designer, one “should not be limited to one style.” The dresses also incorporate an unexpected detail: hidden pockets. “All (the Bush dresses) have them,” Rose says. “It’s another way of having a casual, sportswear feel but still geared to a fancier setting. And it’s a place to put your lip gloss or rest your hands.” Click here for more on Jenna’s gowns — and a few of Lela Rose’s bridal tips and trends.

Pillaging products from our boyfriend’s, husband’s or brother’s medicine cabinets is nothing new. Gillette even created the lady-friendly Venus after they realized women were raiding drugstore shelves in search of the Mach 3 razor. And even though she can get her hands on the best women’s cosmetic lines, Lindsay Lohan chooses to buy lip balm from men’s line Jack Black — a case at a time! Jessica Simpson’s Nashville Shopping Spree

She might be busy working on her new country album in Nashville, but Jessica Simpson still had some time to shop. The Texas native and her BFF CaCee Cobb spent Friday afternoon hanging in one of their favorite haunts, H. Audrey, a high-end designer boutique and rock-n-roll art gallery. But for Jessica, it’s not just about the trendy boutique’s clothes. The pet-loving singer tells PEOPLE, “H. Audrey is dog-friendly! Daisy shops with me and plays with [the owner] Holly’s dog, Alfie. The store has everything from Alexander McQueen to Golden Goose cowboy boots — which are perfect for Nashville. I also love the music gallery upstairs. I bought a Bruce Springsteen pic I love.” Simpson isn’t the only country cooner who frequents H. Audrey. Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes are also regulars. On this trip, a casually-clad Simpson stocked up on designer duds and even had time to take some photos with fans. Jessica left with Linda Farrow vintage avaitor shades, $290, a Gryphon brown leather jacket, $920 — which she wore out of the store — a Helmut Lang hooded leather vest, $795, a black Iro dress ($260), Rory Becca gray and white striped top, $258 — and her Bruce Springsteen print.

The Stars Shine at a YSL-Sponsored Opera Opening!

Jackson Lee / Splash News

Last night’s YSL-sponsored Metropolitan Opera opening gala looked more like a couture fashion show than an opera, with stars like Diane Kruger, Eva Mendes, Leighton Meester, Emmy Rossum and Ginnifer Goodwin each in hand-picked Yves Saint Laurent. Diane Kruger’s hot pink dress was custom-designed just for the event. And she accessorized with her date — and long-time boyfriend — Dawson’s Creek alum Joshua Jackson, who joked to PEOPLE, “In general, I’m not very glamorous. Tonight, I feel extremely high-glam. Tonight we’re glamorous.” Emmy Rossum couldn’t contain her excitement about selecting her little black dress for the premiere of La Fille du Regiment. “I got to go to the showroom and pick!” she tells us. “I’m like a kid in the candy shop!” Ginnifer Goodwin will remember the evening as the first time she ever wore head-to-toe Yves Saint Laurent — and now, the Big Love actress says, she is “obsessed with it.” Click here to check out all the stars’ fashionable looks from the opera and more — and don’t forget to vote for your favorites!

Shoe-Off: Kate Bosworth vs. Heidi Montag

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage; NPG

We’ve been seeing outrageous star fashions all over Hollywood recently. And when Kate Bosworth first stepped out in these funky Chloe wedges at the beginning of the month while promoting her new movie 21 we thought they were a little questionable. Kate, however, is known for pushing the fashion envelope and made them seem totally cool. Then this weekend, Heidi Montag followed in the fashionable star’s footsteps, sporting the $750 patent wedge booties while promoting her clothing line, Heidiwood, at Kitson in L.A. — and we can’t say we loved the look quite as much on her. The shoes somehow seem a little too “high-fashion” for the Hills star. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: Who rocks the designer heels better: Kate Bosworth or Heidi Montag? Would you wear them?
