She’s already a successful music mogul, fashion designer and even perfumer (not to a mention a mom-to-be again) — and now Gwen Stefani is set to release her next creation, a collection of five more unique fragrances with Coty in September. The Harajuku Lovers scents will be inspired by and named for the pop star and her four real-life backup singers, Love, Angel, Music and Baby, WWD reports. The colorful doll-shaped bottles will even look like her crew –- taking cues from Gwen’s blonde hairstyle and Lil’ Angel’s dreadlocks. While it may be a bold venture to launch five fragrances at once, Stefani tells WWD that the decision was a natural one. “Each girl has her own personality and sense of style. We’re all saying something different with unique personalities.” Prices will start at $25 for the individual fragrances, whose notes will run the gamut from fruity to floral to powdery to fresh. Tell us: Will you wear Gwen’s newest fragrances?

Eh. I just don’t know… It seems a little wrong to have what essentially ends up being a posse of Asian girls following Gwen Stefani wherever she goes. I’ve never heard any of them talk or anything… It just seems like they’re being human accessories. Gwen Stefani sometimes annoys me, but I’m sure she’ll be a good mother anyway.

Here’s hoping they’re better than her first one. I bought it on impulse & now it just sits on my dresser. It’s a pretty bottle at least lol, but nonetheless, I will most likely buy all her new ones…. Gwen supporter here since 1996 =)

I agree with Emma. It just doesn’t seem right.

I agree with Emma. It just doesn’t seem right. If she had “Women of Color” always following her around, there would be an uproar.

i LOVE Gwen but i dont know, i mean its weird to have $ little asian girls follow her around all the time and they dont even speak. i will probaly look and smell them but if i dont like it then i wont buy.

More power to her!! She’s a powerhouse, and a mommy. I can relate… :) I don’t really wear perfume but DO I support her approach to life.

She is a talent! I love everything about Gwen Stefani and for sure I will be purchasing all five of the fragrances! They will match all of my Harajuku and LAMB bags!

I’m a boy, so I will not be wearing Gwen’s fragrances! If I were a girl,? then yes, I would wear her fragrances!

To Emma and Turtle: The harajuku girls are back up singers, if you’ve ever been to one of her concerts you’d know they are an integral part of everything she does. they do talk… and sing. i think it’s awesome that Gwen has them do things like make perfumes, for the very reason of not being “Human accesories”. GO GWEN! Gwen fans UNITE!! :)

You people with your lame comments about the “Asian girls” have no clue! Love, Angel, Music, Baby are Gwen’s DANCERS! Apparently, none of you have seen them perform with Gwen! Duuuuuh! Look past what you see with your eyes, and open your closed minds to creativity! Gwen Stefani will forever be awesome!

I love Gwen, and it was great when she and her Harajuku girls came out a couples years back, but it’s getting old. The WOW factor is gone. She needs to move on with a new crew.

I went to one of her concerts and got backstage passes to meet her and the harajuku girls. They’re actually quite amazing. They are just the cutest little things and speak perfect english. They are actually from states such as florida. Not anothey country

gwen has obviously embraced asian culture and more power to her for thinking out of the box and being a total trendsetter & style maven! don’t think most folks in the states really realize the incredible scene & energy that takes place in cities like tokyo, seoul and shanghai which gwen has received inspiration for her music, clothing and overall brand. it’s a new generation out there!

Definitely agree with Emma. Margaret Cho hit it right on the head when she called it an Asian minstrel show or words to that effect. Then GWEN STEFANI accused MARGARET CHO of “not doing research,” as if artsy-fartsy racism is better than whatever her idea of normal racism is.

The harajuku thing is weird but my friend is good friends with one of the girls and she said she is having a blast being on tour with Gwen. So if they don’t mind and are getting paid, that’s all that matters!!

rodirta on

I didn’t know they follow her around and that they don’t talk…that is so mysterious. Are they on salary?

Mandy on

Haters. Gwen is awesome, original, and talented. I have followed her since her beginnings w/No Doubt. Sometimes she may be strange, but I find that interesting. Her fragrance L, (Lamb) smell wonderful, I think. I will try out the new fragrances too.

I love Gwen Stefani!!She rocks:)
I also love Harajuku, Tokyo!!
Great place to people watch and the shopping there
is AMAZING!!!Can see why, Gwen was inspired by the fashion and ideas of Harajuku…If you haven’t traveled and visited Japan yet, def. go see Harajuku station…it’s near the great shopping avenue of Omotesando!

I love Gwen! I love most of the pieces she wears, and adore her clothing line L.A.M.B.!

Cant wait for the new fragrances to come out… Her first one was great. I love gwen!

Kim on

No, why would I need to smell like Gwen’s backup singers? It seems a little presumptuous to me. I like Gwen but I think she’s a little too into herself.

Jennifer on

Is it just me — or is Gwen Stefani a freak? If that had been Michael Jackson running around with a silent Asian posse, people would have called him all sorts of horrible names — yet Gwen does it and thinks that it’s “cute”. She’s bizarre, and needs to remember she’s NEARLY 40!!!! She won’t stop talking or acting like she’s a teenager. “I just love, like, being a singer!” Duh!

k on

Her first one was very pretty, but I don’t know about these.

Emily on

The only thing I will consider when buying a fragrance, is “do I like the smell”. Who makes or endorses something like that is irrelivant.

Jax on

I really don’t like Gwen Stefani, and I agree with Emma. No for me.
