Oh hell no! Every girl likes to play with jewelry but it does not qualify them to have their own jewelry line. Many women have babies and this does not qualify them to have a baby clothing line, but for Nicole Richie, according to her man, she’s greatly accomplished and having a baby and liking jewelry are huge acheivements! Enough so that she gets her own lines. I have friends with more talent in their pinky finger than Nicole Richie, and they unfortunately aren’t discovered because they don’t have a famous dad, publicized drug and eating disorders, and a pop star husband.

I have admired so many things that you both have done recently. Don’t quit! There are a lot of struggling people in OUR country! I know – I’ve taught in the public school system in urban communities – they are so lacking-just in very basic supplies…Obama is right – there is a race issue in this country – and it needs to be addressed and dealt with head on! Eveyone wants to give somewhere else – we are desperate right here in our own country -give to us Angelina Jolie!

I agree with Jennifer. I wouldn’t buy her stuff, but then when I buy jewelry, it’s classic pieces and not celebrity-designed. There are hundreds/thousands of hard-working, creative jewelry designers out there that have honed their craft for years. Give them the business!

The thing that cracks me up is that people are saying what makes her talented enough and skilled enough to be a jewelry designer? Half the jewelry that people wear nowadays is designed by some one else and names like David Yurman, Cartier, Fred Leighton, etc. are slapped on it to hike the price thousands of dollars higher. Let’s be real. Who really cares if she designs jewelry. People are going to buy it anyways. Whether or not you or I purchase it is not going to make or break Nicole Richie’s pockets. Besides, it’s costume jewelry. Its not diamonds. Anybody can design costume jewelry. I can do it, and I can’t even draw stick figures. Give the girl a break for Chrissake! You people are harsh as hell. She’s just trying to make a living just like everyone else. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

I would buy Nicole’s Jewelry. I hardly see Nicole looking less than fashionable. She has an eye for what looks good on her body and what looks good in general. She definitely has her own style and I like that about her. As far as what has she done career wise? Gwen Stefani never went to design school, (L.A.M.B.) Sarah Jessica Parker never did either (Bitten). SJP is my girl, I love her line. Most celebrities who come out with fashion lines do it because the public sees them as fashion forward individuals. So it would be in their best interest financially, to make money off of the very things that make them famous. It’s all about the money. I’ve purchased Items from SJP’s line. I love them.
