i don’t get people who don’t like white nails. i’m old school and like my nails long (and natural!). they’re about 1/2 inch past the tip, and white is my favorite color, because it looks so clean. I don’t wear it quite as bright–i prefer it sheer–but it’s classy and, according to my bf, very sexy.

yes maybe. Not chalk white but more like light beige or really light pink/purple. Light gray is cool too

white is a look that is better saved for short nails. on short nails it looks crisp and fresh, on long nails it is tacky-jacky!!

I have worn white nail polish before but with shor tnails. It looks a lot better when your nails are short instead of long. Personally I like black better.

Heidi Montag is the poser of the century. Does she ACTUALLY think she is EVER going to be better then LC at anything? She should really stop being so fake and focus on leading a happy life WITHOUT people trying to control her (**COUGH, COUGH** Spencer **COUGH COUGH **). She was really great when she was friends with LC and didn’t have Spencer in her life.

Putting aside my personal opinion of Heidi Montag, I never really liked the trend for white nails. Black was edgy and dark. Red is fierce and bold. Pastels are soft and sensual. Bright colors are fun and easy to rock. White is too plain.

Okay on a serious note here…when is this girl’s 15 minutes going to be up? Her and her fame-whoring boyfriend need to be thrown out of the Limelight. I have always loved People magazine, and as a long-time subscriber and fan, you should keep REAL celebrities in your articles, not these fake ones trying to squeeze out all of their 15 minutes that they can. Let’s get back to the real celebs, you know Clooney, Damon, Meryl Streep. Real actors/actresses that have made a stamp on society.

I would wear this trend! I think it’s really cute and I actually don’t mind Hiedi … I think a lot of people love to hate her and hate whatever she wears or looks like just because they don’t like her, even though they have never met her! People are way too judgemental!

I wouldnt wear WHITE WHITE, flat or pearl…BUT I DO LOVE a color that hasnt a name, only a number – the closest is its a muted off white like an opal with tints of turq and fuschia in it…its all subtle and BEAUTIFUL, esp with a tan. And good for ME this is one color that even makes us pale faces look better. I LOVE IT. I have a thing of that opalescence in just about anything; I wore a terrific matte lipstick by Lip Sexxy (that they were stupid enough to quit making or my town just doesnt carry it – I cant get
Revlon to answer me -it was Ultima II but I understand that Revlon bought them out. Anybody out there know anybody at Revlon? I got MORE compliments on that lipstick, not only the color, “Flirting Fluschia” beautiful vivid shade; and its stay power…it was T H E best truly stay on after drinking AND eating lipstick ever made.
I can’t believe Revlon let it go by the wayside because it was better than ANYTHING they offer.
It was Fuschia with has that pink/blue undertone.

So YES I’d wear long opalescent soft, muted opal white with the blue/pink irridescence (its not as WILD as it sounds, is very pretty) Check it out.

I paint my nails white sometimes, I don’t do it attempting to be a trendsetter or anything, I just.. you know.. paint my nails..

The problem isn’t the color, it’s the shape and the fact that they look so obviously fake. It looks like she bought those press-on nails for little girls. :D
