Shopping Alert: Botkier for Target

If Botkier’s hefty price tags have kept their celeb-loved It-bags out of your reach, your luck’s about to change. Target has just announced an upcoming partnership with designer Monica Botkier, whose hobos and totes have graced the arms of Rihanna, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, Heidi Klum, Kate Bosworth, among others. The limited-edition handbag collection, Botkier for Target, is slated to launch July 21st online and at select Target stores. I’m all for accessibility but luxury is luxury because of its exclusivity, no?

I don’t understand the fanatic mob following that accompanies designers for chains (ex. Target, H&M)

I don’t think a “Botkier for Target” bag would have the “classic status” that an exclusively Botkier bag would after time. However, for trend and affordable style, it really is great. Worthy of street-spanning line-up?

I spent 800 on a bag, I would be furious if I saw that bag in the clearance rack at Target.
