The Hills’ Whitney Port Turns Designer!

First Lauren Conrad launched her successful clothing line and Heidi Montag announced her upcoming Heidiwood collection — and now Whitney Port is joining the design fray. The former Teen Vogue intern’s contemporary clothing line, co-designed with pal Adrienne Baravetto, will launch this fall in upscale boutiques like Planet Blue. The 17-piece collection will feature a lot of navy, pink, multi-colored jackets, tie-dye and sparkly dresses that will retail from approximately $100-$500. Sounds like Whitney’s line is perfect for a night out at a L.A. hotspot or working at her other new gig, the public relations powerhouse People’s Revolution.

Why are all these T.V. nobodies designing clothes they try to pass off as “fashion”? It’s all really boring. LC’s stuff is all overpriced draped jersey-knit stuff you could find at Urban Outfitters-and now she has a runway show to top it all off. No more Celeb or wannabe celeb “designers” PLEASE!!!

Whitney’s line will be great..I can’t wait!
Both her and Lauren have great fashion taste.
& to the person who said she is only doing it because Lauren is so successful I disagree with you — both Lauren & Whitney went to school for fashion design and have been working in the fashion industry for quite a while now. I do however think Heidi is only doing it because of Lauren – Heidi has no knowledge of fashion and dropped out on her second day of fashion school!

After seeing this post I am considering to create a reality fashion show similar to Project runaway but I will call it Catwalk Boredom and all of those wanabe designers aka starlets will compete who will create the most clueless boring collection with the cheapest material and then sell it for the highest price. LOL

Maybe I could have a spot on one of these reality shows and get famous and then start my own fashion line !
I’ve noticed that it is becoming some kind of a trend these days..Whitney Port , Lauren Conrad , Rachel Bilson , Lindsay Lohan ,…..It’s getting kinda boring.
