Shopping Alert: Pierre Hardy for Gap

courtesy gap

Priced at up to $1000 a pair, Pierre Hardy’s shoes are usually out of the reach of everyone but the luckiest few — like superstars Fergie and Cameron Diaz. But thanks to a partnership with Gap’s Design Edition capsule collection program, his coveted designs are now at a price we can all afford. Starting today, the designer’s chunky platforms, elegant flats and delicate sandals are available online and at select Gap stores. But we recommend acting fast. The six styles are priced around the $100 a pair, which means they’re sure to sell out in record time. Click here to snag a pair for yourself.

I looked at the Pierre Hardy shoes at my local Gap store yesterday. They seem to be fairly well made.

Not Impressed. Maybe it is just the way that they photograph, but I think they looked really cheap.

Wooden shoes tend to be noisy – everybody knows when you are coming!

To be honest these shoes look like bricks and must be heavy. The brown leather straps look hideous and chunky.

the only problem i have with these shoes is they’re slanted!! look how when it’s on the heel, the ball of the foot is slanted up! that’s really weird… i’m also not a fan of the gladiator sandals even though they’re like the “in” thing right now
