Shopping Alert: Pierre Hardy for Gap

courtesy gap

Priced at up to $1000 a pair, Pierre Hardy’s shoes are usually out of the reach of everyone but the luckiest few — like superstars Fergie and Cameron Diaz. But thanks to a partnership with Gap’s Design Edition capsule collection program, his coveted designs are now at a price we can all afford. Starting today, the designer’s chunky platforms, elegant flats and delicate sandals are available online and at select Gap stores. But we recommend acting fast. The six styles are priced around the $100 a pair, which means they’re sure to sell out in record time. Click here to snag a pair for yourself.

Lawrence Schwartzwald/Splash News Online

Eva Mendes celebrated her 34th birthday in style yesterday with a star-worthy shopping spree on N.Y.C.’s luxe retail mecca, Madison Avenue. The We Own the Night actress was at her chicest dressed head-to-toe in Calvin Klein — and appropriately stopped off at the designer’s flagship store. And she was in for fun surprise when the company’s creative director — and good pal — Francisco Costa stepped up to give her a few big-ticket birthday gifts to help celebrate the day. The actress, who confided to an onlooker that “Calvin Klein is like [my] extended family,” scooped up almost 30 items at the store. Her favorite present was a chic and cozy gray cashmere sweater because, she revealed, “gray is my new color for spring.”
