Emma Watson’s Sophisticated Look

PA Photos/Landov

The British actress, Emma Watson, might be known for her role as geeky Hermione Granger but of late, it’s all about the fashion. At the Vanity Fair Portraits Exhibition (sponsored by Burberry) in London, Monday, the 17-year-old actress ditched her school girl look for something far more va va voom. We spotted the teen enjoying the exhibition with new pal Johnny Borrell in a nude tulle dress from Burberry Prorsum complete with black toweringly high strappy heels. “She is a great image for Burberry, young, cool and edgy,” a spokesman for the British brand told PEOPLE who adds that the actress has been a huge fan of the label ever since she chose it for the cover of Teen Vogue back in 2005. Now if we just had that magic wand to deal with that pesky $2995 price tag. . .

Mandy, Lindsay and More Celebrate Fendi

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

Just a day before Valentine’s Day Mandy Moore, Lindsay Lohan, Rose McGowan, and Keisha Whitaker were feeling the love — for Fendi that is. These stars joined Kelly Lynch, Matthew McConaughey’s expectant girlfriend Camila Alves, and the many artists who designed one-of-a-kind Fendi baguettes to be auctioned off at the newly redesigned Rodeo Drive flagship store on Wednesday night to benefit LACMA. Inside the party, Moore chatted with friends, Whitaker caught up with her brother (who stood in for her husband Forest, who was in London working), a low-key Lohan checked out the bid lists, and McGowan cooed over mini pastel satin bags in the front of the store. “They are like works of art,” Moore said of the Fendi’s signature baguette. “Carrying a Fendi bag? I don’t have a lot of experience with it but I feel very fancy tonight.” Actress Kate Mara had something more permanent in mind. “Isn’t it incredible?” she asked PEOPLE of her multi-colored, multi-fabric bag. “It’s something they gave me to wear tonight and I want to steal it. I’m thinking about it. I’m really thinking about it.” Can you blame her?

Natalie Portman Debuts Her Shoe Line

Astrid Stawiarz/Getty

We’ve been anticipating Natalie Portman’s line of stylish vegan shoes for Te Casan for months, and the star debuted the collection at their SoHo store Tuesday night. Clad in Derek Lam and her own “Pippa” mary janes, the actress spoke to PEOPLE about why she did the line — and how she’s one actress who is never hungry! “It’s very exciting to have this idea that was sort of a crazy idea and then have it come into being,” Portman says. “They’re really comfortable and I think they look like a really elegant shoe, I think that was the goal to make a classic elegant shoe that was animal friendly.” The long-time vegetarian recently became a vegan, and while she says finding chic shoes that don’t use animal products is always a struggle — “I haven’t been able to wear the shoes I want to wear” — eating well is not. Portman explains, “I am definitely not hungry ever. It’s hard to find things to eat out at restaurants, so I tend to cook a lot more for myself. But it was very hard finding shoes, which is why I got to this point.” We have to say the shoes are as adorable as Natalie herself — check them out at tecasan.com.
