Would You Wear Horizontal Stripes Like Cameron Diaz?

For years it’s been touted as the number one rule for dressing slimmer: avoid horizontal stripes. But stars all over size-obsessed Hollywood have been sporting it recently on shirts, tees — and even full dresses. Since we love the look on the celebs like Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel and America Ferrera, featured in our new Stars in Stripes gallery, we’re really considering adding it to our spring wardrobe with a sailor shirt or two. But we want to know what you think! Tell us: Would you wear horizontal stripes?

I agree. There’s a reason why Cameron can wear horizontal stripes. Because she’s Cameron Diaz! She could probably start a trend if she was photographed wearing a belted garbage bag. For the average woman, I would warn against it (horizontal stripes and garbage bags).

I don’t understand why people are so against horizontal stripes. I wear them all the time and they never make me look “big” or anything like that.

It’s not if you can or can’t wear stripes, it’s just how you should do it.

how do horizontal stripes make you look fat? I wear them alot, and so do my friends and we dont look fat. And i see way more horizontal ones than vertical stripes.
