AMERICA FERRERA
To create America’s modernized Old Hollywood Glamour look, makeup artist Vanessa Scali first applied Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $55, which she set with Armani Sheer Powder, $44, then gave the star’s cheeks a subtle glow with Guerlain Terracotta 3 bronzing powder, $40. To keep the focus on America’s eyes, Scali first applied Lancome Vue shadow, a golden sheer shimmer from the Lancome Artliner in Noir, $28, lined them precisely. She created ultra-thick lashes with Lancome CILS Booster XL super-enhancing mascara base, $22, and Lancôme Raisinberry Le Lipstique Lipcolouring Stick, $23, topped off with Lancôme Color Fever Gloss in On Fire, $23.

ELLEN PAGE
Chanel makeup artist Monika Blunder created a classic, youthful look for Juno star Ellen Page by keeping the 20-year-old’s makeup natural. “We still wanted her to look her age, to look chic and effortless,” she explains. To achieve this goal, Blunder applied a base of Chanel Liquid Makeup foundation, $58, and Stila’s Convertible Color in Lillium, $24, across her cheekbones, with a dusting of Cle de Peau Translucent Loose Powder, $103, to set the look. Blunder kept Page’s eyes looking fresh and young with Chanel Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Black Shimmer, $27 and three coats of Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir, $28. She then swept her lids with gold eye shadow from Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Golden Eyes, $55, using a wet brush. Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Colour in beige-y pink Silhouette, $30, completed the nominee’s age-appropriate look.

MARION COTILLARD
Chanel makeup artist Angela Levin chose to emphasize the La Vie en Rose star’s unique beauty, by making her look “dewy with light bouncing off for a metallic feeling,” while giving her “a sun kissed finish.” To create the dreamy look, Levin started with a base of Chanel Mat Lumiere in no. 40 beige, and followed with Cle de Peau Silky Cream Foundation in O20, $110, and Chanel Satin Smoothing Crème Concealer, $40. For bright eyes, she used an orchid shade from the 4-color Chanel compact Vanites, and a luminous white shade from limited-edition 4 Fleurs de Chanel eye palette, $65. She finished the look with Chanel Inimitable Mascara, $28. Levin warmed the look with Chanel Sheer Colour Lipshine in warm apricot Santa Monica, $26, on Cotillard’s lips.

Rachel

She looks chic but I think chic looks a little boring.
