–JESSICA ALBA got baby-ready, shopping for furniture for her new home with Interior-designer-to-the-stars Kari Whitman. The newly-engaged star then headed over to Harmony Lane to to prep for an upcoming jaunt to Sundance Film Festival. The mom-to-be stocked up on a chic and comfy La Rok Chain Doll Dress, a pair of baby-bump-friendly La Made Cashmere Cardigans, and four LinQ Hoodie Dresses in Raspberry, Almond, Black, and Navy. “I need clothes that are comfortable and loose now that I am pregnant!” a glowing Alba explained.

–Style icon KATIE HOLMES put her talents to the test at three-floor designer fabric emporium Mood in New York City. The Mad Money star perused the aisles of the Project Runway-featured store with daughter SURI in tow, selecting bolts of cream and khaki wools for custom suits for herself and hubby Tom Cruise.

–JENNIFER HUDSON got glam at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, stocking up on multiple colors and styles of Natori Couture dresses, including a figure-skimming Couture Basics Gown, $250, in taupe and black.

—KATE HUDSON hit up the aptly named Blonde in Santa Monica in a casual chic outfit of tunic and gladiator sandals.

If you’re like us, you’ve got more lip glosses and eyeshadows than counter space! While we work on whipping our bathrooms into shape for early spring cleaning, we thought we’d take a few tips from the stars. Check out how they keep their stuff in ship-shape condition. Tell us: How do you organize your makeup?

Maria Menounos:
I’ve got the best thing in the world. I am lucky enough to have a spare bathroom that is just my “get ready” bathroom…and I have this big 10 foot counter slash cabinets and each top drawer is separated…one is like foundations and powders, then lip glosses and lip sticks, eyeliners and eye shadows, and so on. I just have compartments for each of them.

Angie Harmon:
I literally have tubs under my sink that is Spring and Summer Lips and then Fall and Winter Lips. I have seasonal tubs. And then everything in my top drawers is everything I would use daily and in the night, and then the bottom drawers go down from there, and then the bottom drawer is hair.

Ginnifer Goodwin:
The most luxurious thing I’ve ever done for myself in my life [is that] I actually hired an organizer. It’s all binned and labeled. I have like my two lipglosses that I keep. Everything in my life is binned and labeled.

Jennifer Morrison:
I just figured this out because it’s been a mess, and so often I need to travel with my stuff, so I went and bought a lot of those little bathroom cups. I got several of those [cups], like the circular ones, and then I got one of those leather desk organizer boxes and then I got a smaller one and then I got a bigger one, so I have all my brushes, in a big open brown leather [organizer]. Then I have my foundation, my powders, my eye shadows in the little sort of smaller boxes with a lid, and then I’ve got a drawer where I have all the little cups with the lipsticks and lip liners and pencils and brushes. It’s fantastic because I could leave all of it on my counter, and it looks pretty.

Shedding their school girl image, knee-high hosiery is getting a fresh update from some of Hollywood’s most stylish starlets. Ashlee Simpson keeps it sporty, pairing them with her low-top Converse sneakers. Jessica Alba playfully wears them in a contrasting color over a pair of black opaque tights. And Rihanna keeps it sexy in thigh-high pair that show just a hint of skin. We’re not completely sold on this trend, but we’d love to hear from you. Tell us: Would you wear this look?

As if selling out tours and releasing a 3-D movie isn’t enought, Miley Cyrus has to also been quickly attaining style icon status — and not just for her legions of screaming fans. The star turned up to the premiere of Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds in a totally chic Alberta Ferretti dress and described her style to PEOPLE as “rock, glamour, Hollywood. I think that’s kind of what I like.” While she admits to loving J Brand jeans, her big obsession is Christian Louboutin shoes. “For the AMAs, I had Christian Louboutin shoes, which I love. I love their sparkles.” But they don’t exactly pass muster with mom and dad. “I could never put my credit card down and be like, ‘Alright I’m going to buy a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes’, like no way.” But luckily, she’s been able to pick up a few luxe items while on the road like her Prada purse, purchased in London. Miley told PEOPLE, “It was in London and I was like, ‘I don’t think I’ll get it,’ and then five minutes later I was like, ‘Oh, who am I kidding? I’m just buying it!’ ” But maybe Miley’s too good a friend to keep splurging — she doesn’t even have her Prada bag anymore because “I let like so many people borrow it that I have no idea where it is!” We bet there’s more where that came from for this emerging fashionista!

Kate Moss is known for her over-the-top parties, and her 34th birthday bash in London this week was no exception. The model made a grand entrance in a Chanel dress over a jumpsuit, Terry de Havilland wedges and a delicate gold star painted over one eye. Once inside the hot new club Punk, Moss whooped it up with pals including Kelly Osbourne and Davinia Taylor.
