Francis Specker /Landov

Beyonce looked gorgeous, as always, when she stepped out to support her beau Jay-Z at the opening of his new 40/40 Club in Las Vegas. But we can’t help but wonder if her over-abundance of curls overshadowed her flawless face. It’s refreshing to see her with a new ‘do but this hair might be a little too out there. Project Runway: The Fiercest Moments

Barbara Nitke/NBC

Ah, Christian. The pint-sized designer loves to drop the “F”-bomb on Project Runway. No, not that F-word. We mean, of course, “fierce,” which has been his go-to-expression since season 4 debuted. This week, the designers paired up in teams to create both avant-garde and ready-to-wear looks inspired by their models’ hairdos. A match made in avant-garde heaven, Christian and Chris, who dubbed themselves “Team Fierce,” (even Tim Gunn referred to the guys by their sassy moniker!) easily won, sweeping everyone away with their sky-scraping gown, which was constructed with more than 40 yards of fabric. Click here to read our picks for the top five Fiercest moments in our TV blog.

Ashlee Simpson’s New Auburn Hair: Love It or Hate It?

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

Looks like the new year is bringing some drastic changes for lots of our favorite stars — at least when it comes to their hair. In the past couple weeks alone we’ve seen Amy Winehouse go platinum, Jessica Biel go honey blonde and Lindsay Lohan fade to black. Now we can add Ashlee Simpson to that growing list. The singer showed off a new dark auburn hue while stepping out with boyfriend Pete Wentz for the Cloverfield premiere in L.A. last night. And while changing up her look is nothing new to the star, who as a teen sported signature dark locks, we’d gotten so used to the softer blonde look she’d favored recently. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: Should Ashlee stick with this auburn look, or should she go back to blond?

Natalie Portman Turns Shoe Designer!

Courtesy of Te Casan

Whether she’s strolling the red carpet or doing a little eco-friendly bicycling around town, Natalie Portman is know in equal measure for her keen sense of style and involvement in environmental and social causes — and her latest project lets her combine the two. The actress chatted with PEOPLE about her new line of vegan-friendly footwear created in partnership with Té Casan. “I’ve been vegetarian for 17 years, and vegan for several months,” says the 26-year-old. “It is a decision I made because of my love for animals, but it is also much better for the environment.” But, she notes, “It is very difficult to find non-leather shoes that are beautiful and comfortable.” At least, it was until now. The actress worked in close partnership with experts at the footwear house to bring her elegant cruelty-free shoes into being. “The Te Casan design team helped me sketch my ideas, from which I chose materials and colors.” Her favorites? “I love them all! The strappy heels with the accordion back in gold and red are personal favorites, though.” While she hopes for more cruelty-free products, she’s doing her part by donating 100% of proceeds from the shoes to The Nature Conservancy. Get your feet in Natalie’s shoes by pre-ordering at the Te Casan website.
