Posh, Amy Winehouse and Mary-Kate Olsen Top Mr. Blackwell’s Worst Dressed List!

Another year, another Worst-Dressed List from the infamous Mr. Blackwell, who singles out his “Ten Titans of Taste-Free Terrors” from 2007 for his 48th Annual List. Topping his list is Victoria Beckham, whom he calls out for her “skinny-mini monstrosities”. Next up is Amy Winehouse, whom he calls a “part 50’s car-hop horror,” and Mary-Kate Olsen, whom Blackwell says “she resembles a tattered toothpick-trapped in a hurricane.” Ouch! Also making the list: Fergie, Kelly Clarkson, Eva Green, Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and Alison Arngrim. But the fashion critic does offer this salve to the style-challenged, explaining “Let it be said, however, that my criticisms are based purely on their fashion flaws — I’m sure they’re all wonderful people beneath the deluge of dreck they drape themselves in.”

Mr. Blackwell also singles out the women he finds truly fashionable. Reese Witherspoon, Jemima Khan, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren, Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes, Kate Middleton, Katherine Heigl and Cate Blanchett all make the cut. And for those of you who might be surprised that Britney Spears didn’t make a repeat performance, Mr. Blackwell explains “I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval. I hope 2008 is a better year for her.”

I think it all depends on who’s looking for sure. I can understand why a critic thinks the way he/she does in creating this list. The people on the best dressed list look sophisticated, well-rounded, responsible, and classy at all times. Notice, many of them are moms, have big things to think about outside of Hollywood, and work very hard to create good public opinion about themselves. The people on the worst-dressed list tend to use alternative, clashy, unsophisticated looks, unique styles, and controversial styles to say the least. It is certainly a personal choice, I don’t dress anything like either group, mostly cause I couldn’t afford to even if I wanted to. I personally don’t think Posh is the worst dressed necessarily by pure clothing choices, I just think she tends to forget she’s an adult with 3 kids and a whole lot of teenie bopper girls still looking up to her. Come on, it’s about time to start taking care of yourself and presenting yourself well for the sake of your boys if for nothing else. Seriously. And if you ask me the worse problem is the fact that we encourage these people to get away with spending thousands of dollars on ONE ITEM of clothing that they wear ONCE! And you want to tell me that any of them care about starving, impoverished, enslaved, suffering people in this world? Yea, right.

I think it is funny that the people who made the bad list were the only ones who were actually taking a risk and having fun with fashion! hello! that is what it is all about, taking risks and loving it. I mean come on,Helen Mirren?! most of the stars on the good list take no chances and their style choices, while pretty do not wow and you can tell they just dress up because they have to, they dont’ love fashion like the people who take risks do. I love Victoria because she takes risks, she loves fashion, and it shows! which makes her so entertaining!

I totally agree with the worst dressed list. Posh Spice has no fashion sense at all. She might as well be a prostitute in the kind of clothes that she wears. She looks like a maniquin. There’s no way that those boobs are real. You can’t have boobs look that rounded after having kids. She’s an ugly whore and needs to realize that there might be young teens that are looking up to her. I won’t allow my daughter to look up to whores!!!!

I agree. Victoria is so tiny that she needs to wear clothes that will creates curves, instead of wearing clothes that show the fact that she is so small.

I dont agree that posh is the worst dressed, albeit she has some pretty bizaar clothes, shes a beautiful woman, Why wasnt Mariah included in the worst dressed? and what about Pam Anderson not being on the best dressed?
