What Was Your Favorite Present?

Now that we’ve had a few days to mull over all of our gifts, we have some clear favorites that we’ve given and received. We felt good about donating money in loved ones’ names to Make It Right 9, Brad Pitt’s project to rebuild Hurricane Katrina-ravage portions of New Orleans, and this clever “diamond ring” was a fabulous gift from a great guy. I received a laptop from my parents which I love. I had an old one which was purchased used and had a lot of problems as well as 2 buttons missing. I hadn’t said anything about it to my parents, and they somehow knew. I am a junior in college and I cannot live a semester without a notebook computer. It must have been parental intuition.

I received a beautiful recycled leather clutch bag made by Flote. I wore it to dinner the other night and got lots of compliments- the leather is beautiful, the quality is great, and it fits the stuff I need to go out at night. The best part is that to make this bag there is no carbon footprint left behind!

I’m a very girly girl…so when I got my motorcycle drivers license 3 years ago my whole family was shook-up! This Christmas my hubby went out and bought me a Harley-Davidson Pearl White 2002 Road king Classic!!! I’ve never had anyone ever buy me a car or anything big ticket like this before…I almost came out of my frame!
So monetary…this bike is THE BEST gift I ever received….however, being lucky enough to have my good health, great family and a spiritual understanding husband, is the gift I give thanks for every year!
