Keira Knightley’s New Bangs: Love ‘Em or Hate ‘Em?

UPDATE: Turns out that Keira was just trying out a new look. Her stylist, Adir of Frederic Fekkai, created the illusion of bangs for the Los Angeles premiere. He tells PEOPLE of the star, “She’s confident enough to take the risk and know that it’s fashion and you can’t take it too seriously. It’s just a look. I thought she looked edgy and [like] a girl who has confidence.”

Kate Moss did it first, followed by Zooey Deschanel, Katie Holmes and now Keira Knightley joins the stylish list with her blunt eyebrow-grazing bangs. Only a few days after an appearance in New York with her usual soft waves, the actress turned up at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Atonement sporting darker hair and drastic new fringe. We like Keira’s dramatic new look and think it works well with her strong features. Tell us: What do you think of Keira’s bangs? Do you love them or hate them?

The color isn’t changed, it just looks that way from how it’s styled. She’s had bangs before, so it’s not 100% new. I wonder if the bangs were really cut in, or just a piece?

I have liked that she’s let it get long again. It’s so pretty long.

She is so beautiful no matter what the hairstyle!!!! I love the bangs, they make a real statement, I doubt she’ll keep them very long though, these people change their hair every day!

Zooey Deschanel has always had bangs, long before the rest of those ladies! But I think they suit Keira very well, her eyes really stand out now.

I’m not normally a fan of bangs on anyone, but I really think it works on Keira. It softens up her strong features and she looks great.

I think that Keira looks gorgeous either way! Just because a number of celebrity women have blunt bangs doesn’t make them lose their individuality. Each one differs just a little to make it their own.
