As we previously reported, David Beckham has signed up to be the face and barely-clothed body of Emporio Armani Underwear — and the ads are finally here! The campaign, shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, will debut with a special gatefold in the February edition of Vanity Fair, but we’ve got a sneak peek of one of the steamy shots. In a statement, Giorgio Armani says, “David is truly a modern day icon in that his fame extends well beyond the realm of soccer. He represents a notion of modern masculinity: as a sports hero, husband and father. He is also a man with a great sense of style.” And returning the love, Beckham says “I first met Mr. Armani quite a few years ago while I was working with the England team when he designed our World Cup suit. I’ve been a big fan of his style for a long time and, through the years, my wife and I have become friends with him, so I’m happy to be working with him now.” We’re pretty happy about the partnership, too! UPDATE: Turns out that Keira was just trying out a new look. Her stylist, Adir of Frederic Fekkai, created the illusion of bangs for the Los Angeles premiere. He tells PEOPLE of the star, “She’s confident enough to take the risk and know that it’s fashion and you can’t take it too seriously. It’s just a look. I thought she looked edgy and [like] a girl who has confidence.”

Kate Moss did it first, followed by Zooey Deschanel, Katie Holmes and now Keira Knightley joins the stylish list with her blunt eyebrow-grazing bangs. Only a few days after an appearance in New York with her usual soft waves, the actress turned up at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Atonement sporting darker hair and drastic new fringe.
