Charlize played the cool blonde at the Movies Rock event thanks to makeup artist Shane Paish. With Charlize’s newly acquired retro bangs, the makeup artist drew inspiration from Julie Christie in the film classic Dr. Zhivago. He focused on her frosty pale pink lips, coating them with Dior Rouge lipstick in Gala Pink #357, $26. Her lips were complimented with DiorBlush in Rosebud #939, $34 for a “pink, doll-like cheek.” He completed the look by applying 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Mystic Jade, $52, to her lids and browbone. To give Charlize’s pale face some definition, he added DiorCrayon Eyeliner in Trinidad Black, $24, along her lashline. The final touch? A few coats of DiorShow Mascara in Black, $23, and Charlize was transformed into an ice princess in the middle of sunny Los Angeles.

Lots of stars wear the same shoes, bags, sunglasses and even sweaters over and over again, but we think Johnny Depp’s scruffy brown boots have just about had it. When we spotted him in this spiffy zoot suit at the New York premiere of Sweeney Todd the other night, we loved his look — until we got to his footwear. In fact, Johnny has been sporting these same beat-up boots since 1999 (as seen in photo on the left)!
