Katie Holmes’s Banged Bob: Love It or Hate It?

Miguel Villagran/AP

We loved it when Katie Holmes chopped off her long locks into a chic bob a few months back, but when she turned up at today’s German Bambi Awards with a ’20s-style do, complete with heavy straight bangs, our jaws almost dropped! The star looks so sophisticated and chic with her flapper-inspired look — check out her amazing eyes! — we almost didn’t recognize her in that sexy Monique Lhuillier gown. We love that Katie is trying out new looks, but we want to know what you think of it. Tell us: What do you think of Katie’s banged bob? Love it or hate it?

Guess Which Stars Are Steaming Up Spring Ads?

David G. Morgan/Bauer-Griffin

Sexy stars making sexy ads — who doesn’t want to see that in magazines come spring? Thanks to Fashionweekdaily.com, we’ve gotten the scoop on more than a few great ads in the making. Matthew McConaughey is set to be the face (and hopefully bare chest!) of Dolce & Gabbana fragrances, while Patrick Dempsey is rumored to be making a McDreamy appearance in the Versace campaign. But it’s not just about the guys. Kirsten Dunst will be following in the fashionable footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Maggie Gyllenhaal in appearing in the Miu Miu campaign for spring, and Fashionista.com is reporting on the rumors that Victoria Beckham just might be the next Marc Jacobs girl. We officially have spring fever!

Great Gift Idea: Noodle & Boo’s New Skincare Line for Moms

Courtesy Glowology

Stars like Jennifer Garner and Liv Tyler love to suds up their kids using only the best with Noodle & Boo’s line of ultra-gentle baby soaps and shampoos. But when the company found out that the little ones weren’t the only ones appreciating the products, they created a new line for all those moms who couldn’t resist sampling the products themselves. Glowology uses the same gentle ingredients as the children’s line, but in a way that’s definitely all grown up. The mild scent of Heavenly Honey Wash floats away stress, while the Lovely Body Lotion keeps skin moisturized without greasiness. And our favorite, the Sugar Mama Honey Scrub, contains gentle exfoliants to buff your way to baby-soft skin. Best of all, the company donates 20% of their profits to children’s charities. We can’t think of a more perfect holiday gift for all those caring moms on our list.

Get Hayden and Blake’s Boots!

Ramey; Humberto Carreno/Startraks

Two of our favorite blonde TV actresses hit the streets of New York City this week in the exact same pair of boots — and we were so smitten we had to track them down! Hayden Panettiere paired her Coach “Weslyn” boots in Whiskey with a black peacoat for a day of appearances in the city, while Blake Lively was snapped on-set in character as Serena van der Woodsen in her brown riding boots. You can buy a pair of the actual boots for yourself, but if you want to spend a little less than the stars, we’ve got some more affordable options for a similar style.

For Real:

For a Steal:

Rihanna Sounds Off on Her Signature Style to Seventeen

Courtesy Seventeen

We certainly think Rihanna is a style icon on the making — who else could change their look so many times and have it work so well? — and Seventeen agrees with us! The singer is on the magazine’s December cover and is honored inside for being in their Style Awards. Rihanna tells Seventeen that she’s always been into fashion. “Well, I love playing with fashion. I’m very spontaneous — the best outfits from me come from not thinking about it. When I was growing up in Barbados, I actually learned about fashion from reading magazines and tearing out stuff that I thought was hot.” And of course, she keeps getting ready for big events fun by hanging out with her girls. “I always turn the music on. I just blast it. And it’s always fun when my girlfriends are around! You do each other’s makeup and each other’s hair, and you help each other pick out clothes. That’s the fun part. It’s more fun getting ready than actually being at the party.” Other trendsetters honored are Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Jordin Sparks, Fergie, Lauren Conrad, Ashlee Simpson and Lil Mama.
