Blake Lively has the kind of fresh-faced beauty that leaves her fellow Gossip Girls whispering. And if she weren’t so totally sweet and adorable ,we might be just a little bit jealous too. So when we had the chance to talk to beauty.com‘s celebrity spokesperson Tina Turnbow about how to get Blake’s look at the site’s recent event in N.Y.C., we jumped at it. First, Tina suggests applying a creamy peachy-bronze blush like Vincent Longo Water Canvas Blush in Forever Flush. Follow with a light dusting of bronzer across forehead, nose and chin. Try CARGO The Big Bronzer Cheek Color in Medium. Then apply a peachy-nude lip liner like DuWop Liptones in Cadence. Use a pink gloss to complement the liner — TheBalm BalmShelter SPF 17 Tinted Gloss in Girl Next Door works great. Apply a smoky black pencil and gray shadow to eyes, such as NARS Eyeliner Pencil in Black Moon and Dr.Hauschka Skin Care Eyeshadow Solo Eye Color in 04. Use a cream shadow on the brow bone — Tina suggests Paula Dorf Eye Color Eyeshadow in Cherub. Top off the look with the blackest-black thickening mascara. Tina loves Awake Stardom Escalate Lash Mascara in Black Escalation. You’re all set to be the target of a little jealous gossip yourself!

I think the person in the picture is Tina Turnbow? I am not sure but it was the only person I could think of.
Hope it helps!

I think she is a fantastic actress and very pretty but in a Jennifer Anniston kind of way not in a perfect doll like way. I really feel they massively screwed up the casting for Gossip Girl. (only Blair looks simmilar to her description in the book but, she is supposed to have piercing blue eyes). Blake works well in the role because of her charm on screen but, her looks are not those described in the book. In the books she is said to be angelic and ethereal with the face of an angel, she is described as perfect and so beautiful that everyone is jealous of or infatuated with her. Blair, who frankly is just as pretty if not prettier on the show is supposed to be cast in her shadow. Looks wise I think Jaime King would have been a much better pick. Blake doesn’t have the intimidating goddess like beauty that the book describes but she is lovely and because of her acting she really does a great job in the role.

I think that Nat needs to realize that the show is not suppose to be exactly like the books and that most movies or tv shows are not exact.

Of course movies and shows never follow the books accurately; it’s hard to adapt literature to the screen. However in the main character role if the person’s appearance plays a big part in the plot which the show also follows then I’d say it’s pretty important. Serena’s character is supposed to be far more beautiful than everyone else; everyone worships and idolizes her or is massively jealous of her. It’s the main thing that propels why she often feels so lost and lonely it’s a huge part of who she is. The show is has DEFINITELY retained this fact by showing the idolization that Jenny has for Serena and the jealousy Blair has which honestly doesn’t work that well when by most people’s standards both girls are actually prettier, in fact, Jenny, if she were a little older would make a better Serena. I’m not saying Blake doesn’t do a great job but since they cast her they shouldn’t have Blair say things like “oh I forgot what it’s like to be with you everyone stares at you not me” (paraphrased) It’s like casting Katie Holmes who is gorgeous as the plain Jane girl next door, well if Katie Holmes is perfect for the role then r -write her character slightly as Joey the gorgeous natural girl next door. Television and movies are full of this nonsense and all it takes is a little effort to make things flow in a logical way. What I’m saying is they kept the concept that Serena is perfect and stands above the rest and then cast a bunch of equally or prettier girls to be those cast in her shadow, for the sake of logic they can’t have it both ways, they can’t keep what they want and rework what they if it becomes contradictory or illogical. If you’re going to cast Helen of Troy (the most stunning woman of all time) and then some simply pretty women that surround her you can’t cast Gwyneth Paltrow as Helen and Angelina Jolie as some plain commoner. LOGIC; it actually does matter.

Nat, could you not have said ALL that in a matter of 2 or 3 sentences instead of rambling on and on about the same thing for a paragraph. Of course they are not going to make a show with a bunch of unattractive people because in today’s society no one would watch it. I do like however that you are very addiment about your opinion that is a good quality to have.
