Maggie Gyllenhaal’s New Bangs — Love ‘em or Hate ‘em?

We’ve seen our fair share of celebs totally transforming their look with just a simple snip, but that doesn’t mean we’re not still amazed by what a difference bangs can make. And when independent film star Maggie Gyllenhaal worked glam new bangs at last night’s Elton John-hosted opening for luxe jeweler Chopard’s new flagship store in N.Y.C., the jewels weren’t the only things that left us dazzled. We’ve always admired the new mom’s edgy style and love how this new look frames her face. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: do you like Maggie better with bangs? Bangs are fine, but look at those eyes… She doesn`t look healthy!

I’m not a fan of the bangs in this particular picture..but I like the fact that they are versitile, she can wear them to the side or straight. Also, I never realized what a beautiful color her eyes are.

She is just not pretty, bangs or no bangs. I am happy with her being an actress, she’s talented. But making her a model/ style icon is like making me a singer– my voice sucks and the fit does not make sense. Agent Provacateur (sp.) paid her for a modeling contract, but nobody wants to see her in her underwear, or look like she does in underwear. Nothing against her, but magazines try to make her what she’s not. Just let her act, nobody is looking to Nicolas Cage for hair/ style tips.

Never have bangs again or wear that thick black eye liner. Makes you look very tired and old.

She does have beautiful eyes, but I like the no bangs look better.
Maggie really doesn’t look healthy in a lot of picture lately. She looks very, very skinny.

The bangs?! How about the eyeliner! Her eyes are SO beautiful and expressive, but the liner under the eyes makes her look so much older, I didn’t even recognize it was her at first! The bangs look good, she pulls them off well. However, even with as pretty as she is, I don’t think that the “heavy under-eye liner” looks very flattering on her at all.
