Cate Blanchett’s Avant-Garde Maternity Style

Carlos Costas/Pacific Coast News; Sergio Dionisio/Getty

You’d hardly expect to see Cate Blanchett ditch her edgy wardrobe for jumpers and elastic-waist pants while pregnant, and the Elizabeth: The Golden Age star is definitely not disappointing. While promoting the film in Australia this week, the star turned up in a beaded colorblock Dries van Noten dress and riding boots to a photocall and was vivid at a premiere in a hot pink and orange Jil Sander dress. We love that Cate’s not afraid to experiment even while expecting her third child. And we can’t wait to see what she wears next — just imagine her maternity gown for the Oscars next February! Tell us: What do you think of Cate’s maternity style?
