Would You Crimp Your Hair Like Fergie?

Splash News

The Black Eyed Peas singer must have been feeling nostalgic for the ’80s because for a recent press conference in Australia, Fergie took out her old crimping iron. We know the singer likes to take fashion risks and even beauty risk, but we were really hoping that crimped hair just stayed put in the ’80s — or at least on the runway. It looks great on stage, but we think we’ll skip this for everyday life. But we want to know what you think! Tell us: Would you crimp your hair like Fergie?

No, there are certain trends that should not be brought back and alas..this is one of them.

KALEY on

No I would not. Never was a huge fan of the crimp. Looks to un-natural. Hard to believe Fergie was the little blonde on Kids Incorporated back in the day.

KALEY on

No thank you! Looks to fake. Hard to believe that Fergie was the young blonde girl on the TV show Kids Incorporated back in the day.

LB on

Maybe if it was 1985 and I was 8 year’s old again. In the year 2007, no way in hell!! Those crimping irons were hard to handle.

Melly on

OMG no way, she looks like a barbie doll!

Chrisie on

Love Fergie but crimping was gross in the 80’s and it hasn’t changed!!

Julie on

Maybe. But what I really want to say is that I REALLY REALLY think Fergie should part her hair on the side!! That middle part gives her such a square face with a flat top!

I think she’d look a million times better with it parted on the side.

Cindy on

NO WAY!!! Hair looks horrible that way! :S

CJ on

I’m sorry but that hair just doesn’t look good on her!! and whats with the boobs pushed up to the earlobes??!!!

Rebecca on

I would definitely crimp my hair for a fun night out! I loved the 80’s, and crimped hair is one of my favorite trends from that time. Now I just wish it was easier to find a good crimper….

Guess who on

The pheasant-head look is so eighties. Fergie looks terrible. I’d never crimp my hair.

laci on

i love fergie, but she is too old to crimp her hair!

kendra on

I love the crimped look. I crimp my hair sometimes when I go out and I always get compliments on it.

Elda on

yeah for fun!!

Dawn on

since yesturday was for Halloween i will have to wait until next year.

joan on

NEVER! No way

Laurenelyse on

Uh,yeah…if I were in the 5th grade.

Chloe on

No way. Remember, not everything comes back in style.

Mrs. Cuter than she is on

I think Fergie is ridiculous and this just proves it further.

Sarah on

I think every girl goes trough the stage where they crimp their hair. I went through it in Middle School. But Right now I could not crimp my hair that way. I already have enough bad hair days.

Stephanie on

Fergie is so ugly, even with all the work she has had done on her face, she looks like a man. Her body is nice though.

Kim v on

Yeah, if I was going as an 80’s chick for Halloween. Otherwise, no.

Katie on

Absolutely! “It looks too fake…” Pink hair isn’t very natch, but it still looks great. So is it with crimping. The key is to make it look UNnatural. If you try to look too standard with it, the looks will clash. GO ALL OUT! a good way is to crimp sections…

Maekayla on

haha ya i do my hair like that all the time ….=.=

lily on

She is a over age pudgy faced slob who cannot pull off young looks like this….awful!

Mel on

Even though I don’t think Fergie pulled off the crimp look too well, I love crimped hair! I even still have my crimper from back in the 80’s! I’m going out tomorrow night and oh yes! my hair will be CRIMPED! :o)

Brandie on

Def agree w/ the Barbie Doll comment, LMAO! …Fergie what have you done, your better than that.

Roxanne on

She looks like she just got the Electric Chair. Her hair is a wreck, that vacant look on her face, all that is missing is smoke coming out of her ears. I normally consider Fergie to be quite pretty, but this bad crimping job drops her down a couple points apppearance wise. My aunt had this style done in the 80’s when it was actually in style and after a little while her hair began to break of in clumps. She had to get a really short haircut just to get rid of the mess she made after too much of it broke off.

Fabby on

Why, She looks like a single mother @ 45 w/ 4 kids

look at those wrinkles?? not attractive

BOOO!!!!

Jenna on

I braded my hair last night, but it still doesn’t look anything like that…*makes werid face* i wouldn’t go so far to danage my hair…like ovously Fergie did.

Horse Girl on

No thank you, crimped hair has always been awful. I don’t see why people think Fergie is pretty anyway, she is the one celebrity that I think is ugly, and crimped hair just suits her up for Halloween without a costume.

what were youi thinking

Amelia on

No way! I didn’t even like crimped hair in the 80’s. Some 80’s fashions and styles should stay where they belong – in the 80’s!

amy on

NO, i’m more of a fan of the triple barrell curling iron if i want any kind of wave/crimp, but that looks TERRIBLE

Christine on

My almost 14 year old wears this at times but I never would. Does not look good on an adult.

thesil on

Definitely no!

Madelyn on

I used to crimp my hair…..when I was younger. I wouldn’t even consider touching a crimping iron now. I’m more happy with the straight or wavy hair look. Crimped hair always looked sorta frizy and out of control to me. Fergie looks horrible with crimped hair. I hate how the root of the hair is just plain and flat and the rest is crimped, it just looks too weird. I’ve noticed lately how Fergie seems to be trying to bring back the 80’s lately. It’s okay though Fergie, your hair may be a mess, but remember “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” hehe.

kayla on

no way!! crimping always looks weird, even on fergie

Susan on

This is Ugly with a capital UG. What was she thinking, she is not pretty to begin with and this style makes her look like a Witch. Maybe it is her halloween look and nobody posted that part ?

Anon on

Since there is no where else to do this, I just want to say that Britney Spears could learn a lot from new and young mothers like Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner. They are perfect examples of mothers who truly put their children first, not just say that they do.

Anonymous on

hell no

Victoria on

I WOULD NEVER! crimped hair was left behind when it turned the year 2000.

Jessica on

I still have my pink crimper fromt the 80’s and it still works!! I wouldn’t crimp my whole head though. I have crimp random pieces in the past and thrown it up. I think it looks cool and fun!

Milly on

It was fine for the 80’s but not anymore…Even if it came back i wouldnt do that to my hair anymore

Judy on

No way, it looks horrible!

Eva on

Well you know , if it was for a party or outing in a night club for fun , WHY NOT ? But for everyday , hell no ..

massimo the best hilary duff fan! on

ok. no i do not like the style at all, i think fergie is a discrase in this picture. i have nothing against her but she does not look to good if i were her i would just straighten it and keep it that way unless she goes to like an important award.i think she should never show her hair like that again! SORRY!

jen on

sure why not!!!

ALY on

She looks like a barbie, an OLD barbie, but I still love Fergie

Regina on

What is up with that vacant look on her face. Shelooks like she was just Electrocuted and is walking around in a Daze

Me on

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kayla on

Her hair looks really bad…I think she is ugly anyway….but this? seriously people.
NO ONE wants to see you with crimped hair.

abby on

yes, i would. You people are such picky snobs.

janneke on

I just got a crimping iron for christmas and im really excited about it. i was looking for some trendy examples and i read all these negative impressions. well I like it a lot.

heather b on

wow i do crimp my hair every day- and i have done so almost every day since about 1999-im only 26- it gives it waaaay more volume than a generic ole flat iron that every single person uses and by the end on the day it just looks straight anyway- i love my crimper and i seriously dont feel complete until my hair is crimped!
