Where Do You Go to Beat the Winter Blues?

Will Binns/James Breeden/Pacific Coast News

The cold weather and dreary days are making us itch for some warm temps and bright sun. But with so many vacation options, we’re having a hard time figuring out where to go. We could spend a relaxing few days off the coast of southern Italy, which seems to have done wonders for Mariah Carey. Or maybe we could lounge on a yacht on the French Riveria like Jay-Z and Beyonce. We’d love to hit the beaches of Hawaii like Kate Walsh and her husband or Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. Who wouldn’t want to spend hours riding waves? But since we don’t have a big vacation budget, we’ll keep dreaming and make sure to save up for next year.Tell us: Where are you planning to go this winter? Are you taking any vacations?

Marc Jacobs Sounds Off On His Newest Model: Posh!

Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage

We should have known something was up when Victoria Beckham made such a splash at the Marc Jacobs show in September — the rumors had been swirling, but now Marc Jacobs has confirmed that his latest campaign is starring the Spice Girl. WWD quotes the famed designer as saying “She was a great sport. She agreed to do something rough and tough and quite raw. It wasn’t days and days of hair and makeup.” Marc tells WWD that the campaign, shot by regular contributor Juergen Teller, depicts Victoria amid giant Marc Jacobs gift boxes and shopping bags, an allusion to the marketing of celebrities. Turns out that Posh was game for anything, no matter how offbeat the idea seemed. The designer says that his favorite images show Posh popping out of a box or with her head buried in a shopping bag. “She was like, ‘I totally get it and I’m totally into it,” Jacobs said. “She has an amazing sense of humor about herself….She just gave herself over to it.” We cannot wait to see these ads! Tell us: What do you think of Posh starring in Marc Jacobs ads? Are you excited to see them?

Stars Celebrate with Calvin Klein in N.Y.C.

Stephen Lovekin/Getty

Art, fashion and stars — what could be chicer than that? On Wednesday night, Calvin Klein celebrated the grand reopening of the New Museum in New York City with a star-studded event co-hosted by Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal and designer Francisco Costa. Guests like Ashley Olsen and Ali Larter took in the stunning new building by SANAA and risque burlesque performances on the bottom floor. And the designer to wear was definitely Calvin Klein. Thandie Newton told PEOPLE that having flown from London just for the event she decided on her dress by having “just picked it off the rail and chucked it on.” Piper Perabo confessed to a bit more fashion anxiety, telling PEOPLE of her Calvin Klein dress, “[this] is size 2, sample size. But I ran a lot of stairs in the morning because I was nervous about getting into this dress!” Click here to read more about the New Museum.
