Jennifer Connelly’s Balenciaga Outfit: Love It or Hate It?

Jennifer Connelly has never been the kind of actress to shy away from tough roles — or tough clothing choices. We’ve spotted the Reservation Road star in Balenciaga before, even as recently as Monday night. But we were still a little startled by her choice of outfit for the film’s L.A. premiere last night — her fresh-off-the-runway square shoulder Balenciaga dress and woven sandals with gold heels are certainly the cutting edge of fashion, but are these looks better left on the runway? Jennifer told PEOPLE at the premiere that she picked her outfit because “I really liked it. He’s my favorite designer. I think he’s fabulous.” Tell us: What do you think of Jennifer Connelly’s outfit? Do you love the daring avant-garde fashion or is it just too much?

Holy cow! What was she thinking? Great shoes that need to be paired with something simple and a not so great dress. Its too really busy patterns put together to make a disaster!

Hate is such a strong word, but I HATE HATE HATE this outfit! What was she thinking? First of all she’s not a teenager, second the dress is hideous and those shoes…well, I could almost go for the shoes with the right outfit, but this is not it.

This is a “Carrie” (Sex & the City) outfit. Sorry nothing personal, Jennifer, you’r a great actress but you cannot carry this at all. BTW, pls get a stylist! good luck

I HATE this outfit! It looks like she is trying to get every possible color known to man in one outfit. And don’t even get me started on the shoes. Overall, this is like driving by an accident on the side of the road- you know you shouldn’t look, but you just can’t help it…. it is so bad!
