Would You Ever Go Platinum Like Rumer Willis?

I’ve never been a fan of platinum hair with dark eyebrows, and this is no exception. The look is way to harsh for such a unique and pretty girl!

I don’t like this look on her at all. If she wants to stay with this look, she has to do something about those eyebrows.

Her face looks exactly like an easter egg.

I think the platinum is too severe for her. A medium would have been better. Her eyebrows are too dark for such light hair and makes it obvious that she really should have darker hair.

She might have been able to pull of a warm, honey-toned blonde (if she dyed her brows to match), but this platinum blonde plus dark brows does not flatter her at all.

Both the color and cut are not well suited to her face shape or skin tone. I’d like to see her in a medium brown hair color with highlights, smokey eyes and more length in the cut, though not long as her face is elongated. Time for Rumer to get a stylist!

This look can work on the right person- but she does not qualify. Too much contrast…she looks silly.

This unfortunate girl needs a one-length, straight haircut, bangs, so that hair will ALWAYS encircle her face and act as cover for her protuberant jaw/mouth area. Obviously she won’t visit a plastic surgeon, so a same-length, straight, bangs haircut (like Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter’s of late) is the only thing she can pull…and look attractive.

Looks like it’s unanimous – the eyebrows are completely out of place with the platinum hair. The article said it too 8 hours to get it to that color — what a waste of time.

Don’t like the blonde at all. Dark hair definitely suits her better. I agree with one of the girls that her eyebrows are way too dark for the colour of her hair.

She reminds me of Madonna in her Open Your Heart video with this look. She doesn’t look bad or ugly, I just don’t think this is a good look for her.

Horrible! I don’t even think the haircolor was done properly. If you look at the picture on the article (where she stands sideway), there are wisps of yellow hair like her hair couldn’t get anymore! Grow hair out, warm up the color, cut it into the Posh cut. She has a Beautiful upper eyebrow bone area… to compliment her lower facial area get new cut/color as stated.

She has pinkish undertones to her skin. Platinum is a cooler, more white blonde. It looks great with pinkish skintones. This is really too gold to be called platinum. She needs to take it a step further along with her brows. She is a beautiful girl with beautiful parents. The cut and style is cute.

Ack! It looks absolutely terrible! The picture of her at that fashion party is horendous. It looks like a very bad home dye job – bright yellow. You can see how damaged her hair is from the chemical processing – split fried ends and everything. No wonder her family freaked out. And that color with those dark eyes, black eyebrows and lashes is scary, but hey, she’s only 19, kids will do stupid things.

Personally, I think that Rumer gets more beautiful the older she gets, especially in a town where so many people look alike. Although I prefer her hair dark, I think this look could work with some darker lo-lights to warm up her skin tone a bit.

I don’t think that it’s attractive & her mother should have told her so. She has her dad’s features and her mother’s color & although blonde is a nice change, it could have been colored “real” platinum. It looks like the color came out of a drugstore box, with it’s brassy tones,I feel like she should get her money back. Well,Demi is freakishly pretty, and that has to be a difficult standard to be judged against. I think Rumer is cute. Not conventionally beautiful, but she’s not ugly.

I don’t think the color is that bad, it looks quite well on Rumor, she just should of lightened her eyebrows to go with her hair, because her eyebrows look too harsh with her new color change.

She should have done more of a nice golden blonde. In my opinion, with her dark brown eyes, the golden blonde would really give her a refreshed look, rather then a platinum/baby blonde look. If she really had to go with the platinum, I think ash and platinum blonde would have been better.

In all honest opinion, I think she should go with darker hair. A really pretty brown/dark brown with some caramel or red tone highlights would look nice. I also think, and it might sound weird, but I think with her skin tone, she would look lovely with a nice red of some sort.

Now, her hair cut is a different story. The cut is pretty, just not for her frame of face. She needs some bangs {NOT BLUNT BANGS}, preferably side-swept bangs, which are very modern. A chin-length bob would look lovely on her, because the cut would create an illusion of width. Some soft waves on Rumor would look nice as well, because they would bring width. She could do any numerous cuts to bring the attention away from her face shape. Long layers would look nice on her. The cut Rumor has, she should highly avoid, because it’s just unflattering with her face shape and elongates her face even more. If she grows her hair past her shoulders for even longer hair, she should cut in few long layers, especially around her face. Also she can make a v-shaped style, where the length is mainly in the back, and your hair on the sides and front seem shorter.

To me her hair almost has a very yellowish tint to it. It looks from a cosmetologist prospective as if she didn’t get it lightened all the way or that she needs a toner. I think the hair is alittle light for how dark her features are.

I worked as a hairdresser while in college. This is NOT PLATNIUM! Demi should have enough sense to let her know this (hope she did not pay for this color). I all for being youeself but this is not a good look for her color, cut the whole nine!

A bit darker shade of honey blond would suit her better-she’s not working this as well as she could. Platinum highlights with warm honey shades ok, but platinum all over? NO. Too much of an ash shade. And she MUST lighten those eyebrows! She’s not Madonna in the 80′s; if you’re going to go this light in haircolor, you’ve got to do the entire look: eyebrows, new cosmetics and wardrobe colors that flatter the new coloring. She’s looking washed-out and flat in those neutrals.

I tried to go blonde in June 07, & when I say “tried”…because no hairdresser wanted to do it for me (Britney syndrome) & When they tried to come close, the colors didnt take the way I wanted. It looked so unnatural on me with my skin tone. So I just went back to my current color. Now looking at her hair, I see why they didnt want to do it for me.

She’s got beautiful eyes and lovely skin. The blonde hair, unfortunately, does not work for her in my opinion and neither does the excessively tomboy haircut. I’m certain she has MASSIVE damage to her hair and I’d bet money she’s going to regret doing this in the near future.But she is probably trying to make a name for herself apart from her famous parents and step father. This look will certainly get her noticed!

I agree with Lauren. The dark eyebrows clash too much. Change is always nice but it has to compliment the rest of the features to pull off the total look.

I am sorry, but that is one ugly kid! I swear her face is at least a foot long!! It’s amazing to think that she’s Demi Moore’s daughter. Demi Moore is so beautiful and Rumer is not a very attractive girl. Her face is too long and the yellow hair (because it’s definitely not platinum) draws more attention to her elongated face.

As a former hairstylist, I think Rumer needs to go back to her original color. She also needs to grow out a few bangs because she has such a high forehead. In addition, she needs to grow her hair to about chin length to shorten the length of her face. If you look at the first pic you can see the various colors of yellow. This is caused from incorrect application and timing of the bleach product. Dark hair is very difficult to take to this level. Possibly a retouch could blend it out and then have it toned.

I have tried the bleached blonde look and had a similar problem, although mine was orange and blonde from incorrect processing. never again!

She looks soooooo much better in the picture I saw with curly hair around her face. She needs it to balance out her looks. The black eyebrows need to go. She would also look pretter if she plucked them more at the center. She can’t help her genes, but she can work with what she’s got (like Tori Spelling) instead of making things worse. I think she looks lovely as a blonde and the contrast to her dark eyes is wonderful. Have to agree with others on one point, tho. I know it is trendy to have the dark eyebrows with the blond hair but her’s are a little too dark. It would be best if she lightened them a bit to balance things out. Maybe go back to the hairstylist who did the color for her? She obviously knows what she is doing and will not hurt her face with the process.
